Let's hear it for Laura! 🎉

She drove up from Columbus to spend her day volunteering at the archives. She was able to digitize 5 amazing diaries from the 1980s.

Thank you, Laura! ❤️

The Bay Village library is gorgeous! 😍

Thanks to all who came out to our Creative Journal Workshop.

Our last library workshop of the summer is at Gates Mills tomorrow. But don't fret, we hold similar events at our archives in West Park and virtual workshops too. Check out the Events page on our website for more details.

So many gorgeous things about the Brooklyn branch of the Cuyahoga County Public Library: the space, design, natural light, children’s area, and of course the people!

Thank you to all who came out to our Creative Journal Workshop. You asked wonderful questions and made beautiful journal spreads.

We have two more library workshops coming up in August. Check out the Events page on our website for dates and locations.

Had a blast at the Creative Journal Workshop at our archive today!

We chatted, got crafty, and connected as humans.

Give yourself permission to get creative and join us at next month’s workshop.

This is what a laptop angel looks like!

Thank you, Amber, for gifting a laptop to our nonprofit. It's really going to help us digitize our collection and share pieces of history with the world.

Thank you, thank you! ❤️

💻 Seeking laptop fairy 🧚‍♀️

We recently received a donated scanner that has made digitizing our collection significantly easier. ❤️

The only thing is that it requires a dedicated laptop to run it...

✨️ Perhaps this is where you come in? If you have a new or gently used laptop you'd like to donate to the American Diary Project... please reach out!

Not only would you make our day (!!!) you'd be helping to save American history just lurking in diaries and journals within our collection, waiting to be discovered.

Thank you in advance! Recent photo of the archive attached for your enjoyment.

We ❤️ diarists and writers!

So wonderful to host a writers group and chat about all things diaries, history, and writing. Thank you all for the wonderful visit and donations!

Prior to that, we had a small group Creative Journal Workshop with two of our favorite regulars. Great conversation and creative expression! As Melanie likes to say, "It's cheaper than therapy." 💜

Today, we also (!!!) had a student volunteer to digitize at the archive and held Volunteer Orientation. Busy day but a great and meaningful way to spend a Saturday.

Check out our website for many ways to get involved and join our supportive community. Journal on, friends! And stay whimsical.
