Decoupling growth from impact

In 2025, Austin Powder expanded absolute production across major product lines while systematically contracting resource and risk intensity — emissions intensity per unit improved by 6%, total water consumption fell by 9%, total waste generation decreased by 7.6%, and TRIR decreased to 1.26. These results reflect targeted operational efficiency, emissions capture at site level, waste redesign and investments in automation and safety systems — concrete actions with measurable outcomes.

Austin Powder’s global leadership team recently visited operations in Mexico, Chile, and Argentina, meeting with employees, touring facilities, and discussing growth opportunities across the region.

Austin Powder has established a new PETN drying facility in St. Lambrecht, enhancing our ability to process materials in-house and respond to changing market conditions in Europe.

By enabling the drying, phlegmatization, and further processing of PETN on site, this investment improves supply flexibility while maintaining strict safety and monitoring standards at every step.

The project also supports a more sustainable production process, eliminating the need for materials such as TNT and RDX in the Mini-Booster formulation, while preserving performance and competitiveness for our customers.
