🎉 We're Officially Over Halfway There!
Five days ago, we launched the Demon Hunters crowdfunding campaign with a dream of bringing this supernatural martial arts film to life.

An open letter from Johnny K. Wu
Hi everyone,
As many of you know, I’ve been making films in Cleveland since 1998. Over the years, I’ve been fortunate to receive recognition for my work, but filmmaking has never been the thing that sustained me financially. That’s why I’ve always done video and event production as my main living.
Filmmaking has remained something I do because I love it — a creative challenge, a passion, and a way to keep telling stories that hopefully connect with people.
Now, as I’m getting closer to 60, and with my health not being what it was 10 years ago, I’ve decided to make one more feature film to close this chapter of my filmmaking career. I’d love to have you be part of it.
That film is called Demon Hunters.
It’s a supernatural action film inspired by the Chinese films I grew up watching, and it brings back the kind of wire-work and martial arts energy I’ve always loved. The story is set in Cleveland:
Synopsis: When an ancient evil rises in Cleveland, a hardened team of demon hunters must battle through supernatural violence, betrayal, and relentless chaos to stop it before the city is consumed. Blending martial arts, practical effects, and action-horror spectacle, Demon Hunters is a high-energy genre film with a deeply personal final chapter.
This is a crowdfunding project, and I want to be clear: not one penny goes to me. The money goes directly into the film — cast, crew, wardrobe, permits, catering, and production costs.
We have the cast and crew in place, and many seasoned talents will be part of this final project.
