Safer spaces respect boundaries.
Safer spaces stop harm before it happens.
Safer spaces make room for rest and healing.
Safer spaces believe survivors.
We all play a role in building safe spaces. Whether that means uplifting survivor voices, advocating for trauma-informed resources, or just listening with compassion, we can help survivors feel seen, heard, and supported.

Believing survivors means listening and acknowledging that their experience matters, even if it’s difficult to hear or challenges your perspective.
Many survivors fear they will be dismissed, questioned, or blamed for what happened to them if they speak up. The way we respond in the moment and how we continue to show up can make a huge difference in helping survivors feel safe, respected, and supported.
If you or someone you know has questions or needs support, Cleveland R**e Crisis Center is here for you. Text/Call (216) 619-6192 or (440) 423-2020 or chat online at clevelandr**ecrisis.org/chat any time, day or night.

When things feel heavy, remember that it’s okay to step away for a little space. Pausing to breathe, rest, or connect with someone you trust can help you feel grounded and supported.
If you’re feeling overwhelmed seeing stories about sexual violence on the news and social media, remember that you do not have to go through this alone. We’re here for you, 24/7.

Cleveland R**e Crisis Center was honored to participate in the Collaborative to End Human Trafficking's State of Human Trafficking Community Luncheon last week. We are grateful for the Collaborative’s leadership in producing the State of Human Trafficking in Cuyahoga County, a report that helps us all understand how human trafficking impacts our community.
Together, we can continue to build a network of support that helps survivors of human trafficking access the care and resources needed to heal.

Survivors of human trafficking deserve to be supported. Cleveland R**e Crisis Center is proud to partner with the Collaborative to End Human Trafficking and other local organizations who are working to understand, address, and prevent human trafficking in our community.
Cleveland has long been called a human trafficking hub. A new report says we’re still missing much of the picture Cuyahoga County's first human trafficking report reveals over 700 identified victims in 2025, but officials caution the number represents as little as 10% of the true scope, with fragmented data and systemic gaps leaving many cases undetected.
