What a WEEK! Before I get into it all, I want to extend a MASSIVE thank you to .riveros.harp for having me and for being such a phenomenal collaborator and friend - I genuinely couldn’t not imagine having the opportunity to take a trip like this without him. Highlights from our week include seeing Michigan’s fall colors, almost immediately followed by the first snow of the season, a fanstastic performance of Shostakovich’s 5th Symphony by the Flint Symphony Orchestra, spending more than 3 hours together for the first time since I left Cleveland in 2022, returning to Cleveland for a recital at Church of the Covenant (where I got to see for the first time in years!!), a performance as guest artist and chamber masterclass working with some of the phenomenal woodwind and brass students at Michigan State University, spending time with for the first time since 2018 (💀), a visit with my dear friend .elise and getting to explore Ann Arbor and Lansing - my first time in Michigan! I could not be more excited by and grateful for the last ten days and I can’t wait until we get to do it again in February here in Dallas! Keep an eye out for more info on our upcoming performances!
