FUN TRUSS FACT: Headlock didn’t actually have a name until AFTER the album was fully mixed and sent to distribution. We consistently wrote it as “unnamed” or “untitled” on setlists, and even considered officially calling it such. The night of upload, Hannah, Holden, and I were up late on a call making last-minute album edits and throwing around some name ideas, and settled on “Noise” (we thought it was neutral and ambiguous enough, and we needed SOMEthing). The next morning, Holden texted me saying, “I actually have the perfect name for untitled haha”. Needless to say, we all agreed and I sent the correction, not knowing if it’d make it in time. It did👤🔒
The lead track off of our sophomore record has always been one of our favorites. It’s fast, it’s dirty, and it’s what captures the spirit of what making/performing music means to us. Nothing opens a set quite like it. Bonus points if you were there!
