Small run of RAT billet oil pumps after being 100% machined in house at Raby Machine Works and coated by Calico Coatings. Each of these has the OD of the housing body machined to exactly fit the engine case they will be married to when the engine is assembled. The factory oil
pump housing bore can vary by as much as .005”, so exact fitment is crucial for proper oil pressure and reduced chances of oil leaks. Another reason why we have become our own manufacturers. Made in USA, all the way!
Alternative Cylinder Technology Development!
Another day of punishment for the RAT alternative cylinder technology test engine. Today ambient temps in the test cell are higher than in the past 7 years of testing. 3 hours into today’s 3.5 hour steady state test things are better than expected.
