October 4th – 10th is Mental Illness Awareness Week.

Did you know that 1 in 5 US adults experience a mental health condition each year? That’s over 46 million people.

And more than 11 million people live with serious mental illnesses like major depressive disorder, bipolar disorder or schizophrenia.

Despite the large number of Americans affected by mental illnesses, stigma surrounding mental illness is a major barrier that prevents people from seeking the mental health treatment they need.

We can reduce the stigma by talking openly when facing a mental health issue and sharing stories of how we found the courage, strength and motivation to seek help.

You can encourage others to find support by sharing your story of seeking connection when you needed it most in the comments.

It may be the season of falling leaves, pumpkin spice and trick-or-treat, but our teams are already planning for Christmas.

October is Depression Awareness & Mental Health Screening Month.

This month, FrontLine is highlighting how depression and other mental illnesses impact our clients and communities, and sharing resources to help you discover if it’s time to seek additional help in managing your mental health.

Thank you to our friend Laura Desmond at the Acacia Foundation, who hosted FrontLine and other local Nonprofit leaders at her home last week!

Corrie and Joyce were delighted to spend the evening with leaders from Towards Employment, Family Connections, Canopy Child Advocacy Center, MedWish MedWorks, Signature Health Inc., The Harriet Tubman Movement, Cleveland Angels Non Profit and The Hitchcock Center for Women.

Festival plans, anyone? is just around the corner!

The Chagrin Documentary Film Festival returns October 6th-11th with six days of incredible documentaries from around the world.

We’re excited to be a Community Partner for Figaro Up, Figaro Down, and hope you’ll add it to your festival lineup. Screenings are Friday, October 9th and Sunday, October 11th. After Friday's screening, stay for a short Q&A with the film's director and subject!

FrontLiners Jasmine and Luke were on-site for Vet Connect 2026 at Huntington Bank Field earlier this month to represent our Supportive Services for Veteran Families and Su***de Prevention programs.

Thanks to the Cuyahoga County Veterans Service Commission for organizing this event where veterans and their families can connect with resources from community partners, private businesses, employers, and government representatives

Earlier this month, FrontLiners Shauntel, Cherish and Julianne attended the International Community Justice Association conference in Columbus.

They attended workshops and networked with other individuals, experts, and organizations from the US and internationally who focus on working with justice-involved individuals and the re-entry population.
