October is Down Syndrome Acceptance Month! 💛💙 This month, we celebrate inclusion and highlight the incredible abilities of individuals with Down syndrome.

This is also a time to reflect on our efforts to break down barriers in accessing fully inclusive recreation and focusing on promoting advocacy. When we work together, we can show the world that everyone is included, valued and loved exactly as they are!

Our Adult Social Club had a great time at Thrive Through Tennis this month! Our group not only got to learn about tennis but also had a great time playing pickleball! 🎾Huge thank you to the staff at Thrive Tennis who made this event possible for our participants! 🩵 We can't wait to come again!

🌊Swimming into the weekend like:

Rec2Connect's Aquatics Program helps individuals build swimming skills, motor planning, strength and endurance. Our aquatic specialists will help customize personal swim sessions based on the needs of each swimmer. Sessions can include high impact sensory activities, pool safety, swim skills and therapy activities! 🩵

We had such a great time last year that we had to do it again for the 2026 FREE St. Ignatius Inclusive Baseball Camp on Sunday, October 25th from 12 - 1:15 p.m.! ⚾In collaboration with Rec2Connect, St. Ignatius High School Baseball, and Empower Sports - this camp is a great way to learn the fundamentals of playing baseball with accommodations that participants need to be successful. 🩵 See the flier below!
