ONE SHOW IS COMING TO AN END. THE NEXT PARTY IS JUST GETTING STARTED.
If you haven’t been to SPACES to see A Black Prayer by Yelaine Rodriguez, now is the time. The exhibition closes October 17, and trust us—you don’t want to miss it.
And if you’ve been following along, you might remember Yelaine’s brick adventure. That spirit of discovery is coming with us into our next big moment: AMERICA TWO FIFTY, our annual benefit, one-night exhibition, and art party on Saturday, November 7.
Yelaine has created several hand-cast bricks rooted in Cleveland’s history, made with Val Grossman at Brick Ceramics and Design Studio. They’re not souvenirs. They’re little pieces of place, transformed into art—and they’ll be part of the one-night exhibition and sale at AMERICA TWO FIFTY.
Come see A Black Prayer before it’s gone. Then come back November 7 ready to see what’s next.
SUPPORT SPACES. OWN A PIECE OF HISTORY.
Your ticket helps us keep experimental art alive, support artists, and bring a beloved SPACES tradition back to life.

SPACES was delighted to receive a special package from Senator Nickie Antonio’s office yesterday, recognizing our five 2026 Satellite Fund Awardees with special commendations!
Congratulations to Darius Steward, Anna Chapman, Shelli Reeves, Orlando Caraballo Ortiz, and Lindsay Stefans on this meaningful recognition of their work. Each artist will spend the coming months engaging with and contributing to communities across Cuyahoga County, bringing their unique perspectives, creativity, and practices into conversation with the people and places that make up our region.
The SPACES Satellite Fund is made possible through the generous support of the Andy Warhol Foundation for the Visual Arts, whose funding enables us to give these transformative resources to artists.
We’re grateful to Senator Antonio for these citations and for her continued commitment to supporting the arts in Northeast Ohio. Thank you for recognizing the impact artists make in our communities!

Saturday, November 7, 2026 | 6–11 PM at SPACES
America, as we know it, has turned 250. So, naturally, SPACES has some questions.
Just after the election, we’re throwing a costume party and one-night exhibition that celebrates, questions, complicates, and pokes at the stories we tell about America.
Come dressed as your America.
Your America might be celebratory. Critical. Ambivalent. Absurd. Hopeful. Angry. Nostalgic. Complicated. Completely made up. There are no rules—except maybe to have something to say.
The evening will feature a curated exhibition organized by the SPACES staff, food by North Coast Culinary Group and Logan Neisel, a cash bar after 7PM, and music by Cleveland-based indie soul-jazz collective Hashtag Virgo Jazz Quartet and others.
As an organization dedicated to supporting artists who bring ideas, passion, and critical perspectives to the issues of our time, SPACES invites you to join us in celebrating one thing we believe is essential: FREEDOM OF EXPRESSION.
Tickets:
$100 VIP | 6–11 PM
$50 General Admission | 7–9 PM
$35 Late Night Party | 9–11 PM
America Two Fifty. One night only.

We are proud to participate in Fall of Freedom, a nationwide cultural movement uniting artists, institutions, and communities in celebration of creative expression and solidarity.
On Saturday, October 3 at 1 PM, SPACES will host a public gathering featuring readings by poet and artist Storme Webber from her book Blues Divine. Following the reading, Webber and SPACES Curatorial Coordinator, Thea Spittle, will lead a community discussion about the value of our stories and histories in this age of governmental attacks on museums, historical markers, archives and other manifestations of memory. In a time of threats to our cultural sovereignty, we invite supporters of cultural freedom and expression to join us for this Fall of Freedom community program!
