SOAP Adventures

Special thanks to Hamilton County Cave Cliff Rescue Squad and Tri-community Volunteer Fire department. Without them we would not have had such a fun and successful day with Ken Shaw rappelling down Wrighthall for giving day. Your professionalism and skill are admirable.

Great weekend rock climbing with SOAP

Wonderful camping trip with 8 wonderful students! Great weather and we spotted a bear and her 2 cubs Sabbath.

Southern Outdoor Adventure Programming is up and running again!

We are going ahead and scheduling some trips for this Fall! This weekend we have our Hiwassee Rafting trip/Outdoor Church Aug 14. This is a leisurely time out in God's creation, no rafting skills required. No charge of course! To attend you must be a current SAU student taking 6 hours of undergraduate credit in the Fall or current smart start student. To reserve a spot please email [email protected]

Our Outdoor Education center was hit hard last night- no one was injured. We will repair and continue on our mission to serve our students and community.

Thank you to the 12 teams we participate for the annual Cardboard boat race . Also a big thanks to Student Life and Activities' Kari Schultz for the prizes and support! $800 in prizes this year 😀!!
