Whosaid Rats?
Up and coming pet rat breeder located in Colonie, NY. I've got 3 years of experience, now working on dumbos. Pet rats only, I do not do feeders
Little video showcasing some of the hyper beans from this most recent litter. They opened their eyes a week ago, so should be ready in another 3 weeks. There’s 12 babies this time, and some of them have an interesting coloration that I plan on looking further into

The babies are all ready for new homes! 3 of the 6 girls are dwarfs, so lots to pick and choose from. There are also 6 males available as well, 5 of which are from a slightly older litter from March, all very loving and playful. If you have any questions, please feel free to reach out!

I’ve been informed that making a post about pricing and other FAQs would be helpful. So here’s mine.
Pricing is as follows:
Agouti/Brown: $30
Marten/Gray: $40
Hairless: $40
Dwarf Agouti: $50
Dwarf hairless: $60
Dwarf Marten: $60
I’ll update this if any more configurations pop up
If you want to reserve them in advance before they are ready it’s a $15 reservation fee, as well as another $15 for each rat you intend to reserve. This second instanced fee goes towards the final cost of each rat. For example: For an agouti and a dwarf marten, you pay $15+$15+$15, $45 at the time of reservation, then $15 for the agouti and $45 for the dwarf marten, so $60 at the time of pick up.
If you want to reserve them say, several weeks after they are ready to leave, that will be an additional $15 as a housing fee each week you want me to hold onto them for you.
I primarily do pickup, if you want me to drop them off to your place or meet up in the middle, then you will have to cover my cost for gas. I am willing to drive out AT MOST, 1 hour from where I live.
I do not do male female pairs unless you have a vet that can do neutering for rats prepared in advance.
Two rats minimum, 3 is recommended for ideal social interaction between rats.
I will request a photo of your cage setup, or at least what you plan to use for them. For food I feed them Oxbow’s Adult Rat pellets, there’s a bulk bag on Amazon or Chewy that’s a good price. I suggest you feed them the same for proper health.
The babies are getting older now, about 3/4 weeks old. They’ve started to get rowdy and climbing the door when they see me lmao. After another 3 weeks they’ll be ready for adoption, I’ll make sure to contact those who’ve messaged me before to schedule a time to pick up

My marten girl Ellen just gave birth to 8 beans yesterday, with her sister Signora soon to follow. I’ll try to post updates on their progress!
These are some of the boys that I currently have enjoying their daily shenanigans. Currently it’s only the three hairless and two marten boys available.

Most of the recent litter got picked up these last few days. Thanks to all those who came by to give these babies a happy home! There are currently 4 males left for adoption. One marten self and three hairless red eyes that all look and act very similar. Even though they can’t see too well, they love looking for fun! Three blind (rats) mice anyone? I’ll be working on my next set of litters these next few weeks. So keep an eye out for more updates
Little video of the babies first free roam time. I sexed them and polar opposite to my last litter, there’s 8 boys and 3 girls. So good news to those who made a reservation for boys earlier! I’ll make a separate post showing off each individual rat. Also, they’ve hit the 5 week mark now, so I’ll be sending messages to people on the waitlist to schedule a time to pick up after they hit the 6 week mark
Babies are getting a bit older now! Should be ready in another 2-3 weeks. Will have to make a separate post specifying how many boys and girls there are.
A little video showcasing the rats of the upcoming marten litter. They’ll be ready in about 4 weeks, and about half of them are rex/hairless. Time will tell if they keep their fur or not.
