Springs Church

This past Sunday we prayed for and dedicated three new deacons to our church family. It is a joy to welcome them into their new role at the church. Guest speaker Pastor Neil Rhodes took us to John 5:1-16, where Jesus encounters a man who had been an invalid for 38 years.

Do You Want to Be Healed?

* Faith is Actionable: Jesus didn’t just offer sympathy; He challenged the man to “Get up, take your bed, and walk” (10:12). Sometimes, receiving your breakthrough requires taking a tangible step of faith to leave your past behind.

* Break Free from the ‘Mat’: For 38 years, that mat was where the man sat, waited, and suffered. Pastor Neil encouraged us to identify our own “mats”-the hurts, disappointments, or labels we’ve been carrying-and choose to roll them up instead of continuing to live on them.

* Freedom Over Religion: The message reminded us that true life in Christ is about a relationship, not just religious performance. Don’t let legalism or the opinions of others steal the freedom that Jesus has already purchased for you.

Are you ready to walk in the freedom God has for you? It’s time to stop waiting and start walking!

🔥 Looking for the Fourth Man 🔥
This week’s message challenged us to ask: Are we limiting God through unbelief? Drawing from Psalm 78, we saw how Israel repeatedly forgot God’s faithfulness and failed to trust His promises, limiting what He wanted to do through them. God calls His people to shine in a dark world, not by avoiding trials, but by trusting Him in the middle of them. Just as the fourth man appeared with the Hebrew boys in the fire, Jesus often reveals Himself most clearly in our hardest seasons. The sermon reminded us that our inheritance in Christ is to know His love, experience His presence, and find complete contentment in Him. When we remember what God has done, mix His promises with faith, and seek Him wholeheartedly, others will see the Fourth Man in our fire and find hope in Him.

Stop waiting for connection. Become the connection.

God designed us for deep, life-giving relationships. Friendship isn’t something you stumble into. It’s something you intentionally build.

Who can you encourage, invite to coffee, or pray with this week? 🤝 ❤️ 🙏
