Compassion International

God is good. It's as simple as that.

We may never see the full impact of our compassion, but God sees it all!

Faithful care makes childhood possible. For Rolief, most afternoons used to mean helping his family in the fields — carrying water, tending crops. It was necessary work, but it didn’t leave much room to be a kid.

That changed when a Compassion center opened in his village. Most days now, he rides down a rocky path to see friends, get help with schoolwork, and think about who he wants to become. He still lends a hand at home, but the fields no longer take up his whole afternoon.

That’s what sponsorship makes possible. More time to learn, to play, to dream.

We're not saviors—Jesus is. But we get to be his hands, and feet.

Every child matters to God which means every child should matter to us.

Denis grew up selling street food with his mom, sure that nursing school was a door that would stay locked. But sponsorship and a local church walked with him until the door finally opened.

Now he is a trained nursing technician, and his patients say just having him in the room brings them comfort.

He once counted coins sticky with sugar. Now he counts heartbeats.

Nutritious food. Medical care. Protection from harm. Hope. These are just some of the critical, right-now needs of children living in poverty.

Kids around the world are finding hope in hard places. This is what it looks like when someone shows up for a child.
