SC-TF5 is a Type II Collapse Search and Rescue Team based at the Columbia Fire Department. The team also has swiftwater capabilities.
The team is comprised of personnel from the Columbia Fire Department and Lexington County Fire Service. The team is designed to respond quickly to disasters in and around the Columbia Metro area or Midlands Region of South Carolina. The team specializes in Technical Search, Light wall and floor collapse shoring, High-level and Low angle rescue, concrete breaching, and victim extrication.
