Hammond PLUS Programs

PLUS Programs are during the school day, afterschool, evening, and weekend programs for students and adults to develop skills and interests in a variety of areas. All of our programs offer participants an enjoyable and enriching experience in a physically safe, emotionally supportive, and fun-filled environment. Who can enroll in a PLUS Program? All of our PLUS Programs are available to Hammond students and their families, as well as members of the greater Columbia area. Participants do not need to be a current Hammond student or family member to enroll. Most of our PLUS Programs for students in PK – 6th grade operate on a trimester system with three sessions scheduled throughout the school year. Days, times, and structure vary according to the PLUS Program. However, we have some programs that are offered as a day only program, or for just one evening only, so these program offerings would only meet once. How are PLUS Programs structured? PLUS Programs may be offered in small classes, private lessons, and can be held on or off campus. Most programs are offered weekly for 45 minutes each, while some programs may meet for different durations. In addition to programs typically being offered afterschool and on school holidays, we now will be offering one-day only programs and weekend programs for students and adults. How do I register for a PLUS Program? Please visit Hammond’s website hammondschool.org, under the Academics tab, click After School Programs. In order to be successfully enrolled in a program, families must register and make full payment online prior to the registration deadline. Please check the program offerings for registration deadlines. Late registration for Session PLUS Programs that still have availability will be accepted for two weeks after deadline.
