🌟 Let’s welcome our next e-board member 👏👏
Name: Jennifer Gonzalez
Year: Class of 2023/3rd year DVM/MPH-VPH
Ethnicity: Cuban, German/French
Favorite way to destress in school: Exercising! I do crossfit, rock climbing, hiking, dance, and am on OSU's figure skating team. I also love exploring places around Cbus, doing things with my church, and eating good food 😍
Favorite restaurant in Columbus: Pablos Havana Cafe (great cuban food!)
Summer plans: Working at Oak Tree Veterinary Clinic in Cleveland Hts and doing fun things/travel on days off 😊
Favorite subject in vet school: Cardio or Neuro
Advice to incoming first years: Don't spend all your time studying, and make time for people and activities that are important to you. Also, realize that what you have been taught in the past may not be the best way of doing something. People do things slightly differently, so be open to new ideas and learning things a new way.

⭐️ Let us introduce our next e-board member, Amanda! 💃
Name? Amanda Navas
Year? Class of 2024
Position? Secretary
Ethnicity? Half Puerto Rican, Half Nicaraguan
Favorite Way of distressing in school? Exploring places with my dog, Louie. I love taking him to dog friendly restaurants and parks.
Favorite restaurant in Columbus? Elia Athenian Grill. For dessert, Dulce Vida!!!
Summer plans? I’m working on the pathology floor some weekends, and collaborating with the anatomy team during the week. We are preparing the prosections for the incoming first year class!
Favorite vet school class so far? I really enjoyed Clinical Pathology during fall semester.
Advice to incoming first years? My advice is to never be afraid to reach out to one another. If you’re stressed out, most likely your classmate is feeling stressed, too. Give yourself a personal day during the week to do something you enjoy. Finally, be kind to one another. We are all in this together, and the veterinary community is already facing a mental health crisis. Support one another!
