Clean ponies & a clean barn!!!

Oh hey y’all, long time no post!! Life has been so crazy busy, so I figured a fun update about what I’ve been up to would be suitable for our first post back. A lot has happened, so buckle up!

To start, this past spring I had the privilege to lease Mystique for a week at WEC Ohios winter series with Otterbein. Scored some lovely ribbons in the .85s, and debuted my first .95 rounds.

Awhile after, Desi was cleared to go back to regular life after extensive rehabilitation for a soft tissue injury. He was fully injected and has been back to regular life (full work, daily turn out) for a few weeks. Liana is also doing fantastic!

In May, I graduated from Otterbein University with a BA in Zoo & Conservation Science, and a minor in Biology. It was a huge moment for me, and while I’m sad to leave school, I’m so excited for future endeavors.

I recently took an assistant barn manager position at the facility my horses are kept at! This gets me hands-on experience in the animal care field & enables me to continue keeping Desi in shape to hopefully show this fall.

Misfit Equestrian has been truthfully a bit on the back burner, sticking to our regular clients within house the last few months. We are going to hit the show ring a few times later this summer, but in the meantime I’ve began working as a show groom & private animal care hire under this business! Ranging from taking care of horsies at destination facilities to providing extra services to the clients at my boarding facility. We still do all the fun things, but with a nice mix of customized horse care and professional services for those at shows.

Lastly, just for funzies, I’ve also been playing around with the idea of a ranch show. Exploring new disciplines at a besties barn has been a great past-time, and I find it really enjoyable!
