August is National Immunization Awareness Month, a time to remind others of the importance of vaccines in protecting our health. Take action to ensure you and your loved ones are up to date on vaccinations. Check with your healthcare provider, stay informed, and spread the word about the importance of immunization.

What happens when mental health and the legal system intersect? The Netcare Forensic Center provides court-ordered psychological evaluations that help the legal system understand how mental illness impacts cases. Our forensic team ensures mental health is considered in legal decisions, leading to fairer outcomes and connecting people to the care they need.

Your summer mental health checklist:

✅Stay hydrated
✅Keep cool (AC, fans, cold showers, or cold packs!)
✅Avoid peak sun hours (10 a.m.–4 p.m.)
✅Stick to your treatment plan (If you’re on medication, don’t stop taking it due to the heat)
✅Check in with friends & neighbors

Heat isn’t just a physical issue; it affects mental health, too!

If you’re feeling overwhelmed, anxious, or just off, you’re not alone. Call our crisis line at 614-276-CARE (2273) for immediate mental health support. Or call, text, or chat with the 988 Lifeline, available 24/7/365.

Today, we celebrate National Disability Independence Day and the 35th anniversary of the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA).

This landmark legislation, signed in 1990, prohibits discrimination against individuals with disabilities and opened the door to greater inclusion, accessibility, and opportunity.

Let’s honor the resilience, achievements, and contributions of people with disabilities and continue to advocate for a world where everyone can live with dignity, independence, and equal access.

Your mind and body need time to rest and reset, especially when your community is facing
stress. Taking care of yourself isn’t selfish; it’s how you keep going.
