TWO Men's Respite Center

Huge thank you to Frank Moll, Crista Lemaster and Josh Kessler for dropping off some much needed items for the homeless community we serve on Sullivant this week. Bottled water and popsicles great way to help keep these warm days manageable for those suffering in the heat!

Josh on top of the water also donated big bag of men’s shorts which we will hand out today because we can’t keep enough of them. You all made a huge impact to us and cannot thank you enough! We appreciate you!

They collected and made hygiene bags for our guys that included travel size shampoo, body wash, razors, and more. We appreciate them and thinking of us and those we serve! Thank you!

Happy Father's Day to all of our Dads out there today! We are celebrating our guys trying to make this day special for them with little cookout, popsicles and sweets!

Big thank you to Mr. Dave Singh for providing the hot dogs and grilling them out for us. Each man we serve today is someone's Grandfather, Dad, Son, or Grandson. Try to make this day full of light for them! Have great holiday!

We want to give huge congratulations to our friends Anay and Burair who just recently graduated from Hilliard City Schools of Class of 2026. These incredible young men have volunteered over 400 hours at our center over the last two years serving the homeless community on Sullivant.

What an incredible example they are and bright futures they both have. Anay will be going to Columbus State and Burair to Ohio State in the fall. We are so appreciative for your time with us and wish you both success in your future endeavors! Thank you!

We are so lucky to be able to serve men suffering in our inner city. Some of these men we see more than our families and our friends. We get to know their personalities, their humor, their quirks, and their testimonies and they become family to us as we try our best to help them out of their circumstances and be best version of themselves.

Martin came to us since beginning of Men's Center when we first opened in 2019. The effects and damage of addiction would lead him constantly talking 1000 words a minute, most of the time bundles of words cannot understand or not even coherent. Every now and then the noise in his head would quiet down and the light shine through and he would smile sing around the house. He would light up and joke and laugh. He told us how much he loved us. He called us his family.

He carried and believed special stones and rocks held power and would place rocks on top of door frames around the center. He said to protect this special place.

One day recently he came into the center after being gone a few weeks or so his skin was all yellow and told us he was diagnosed with pancreatic cancer which probably had before was properly diagnosed. You could see in everyone's faces Martin was not good. Some of guys been on streets with him for years got emotional and tears shed in center when reality of it all hit and seen the effects taking there toll.

He called us from hospital as got worse and I would go visit him as did some of our volunteers. He made impact on all of us.

On our visits we told him how much we loved him and God loved him and how special he was to us. We are lucky we were given chance to do that as not given chance to others that have left us. Two weeks ago Martin left us as lost his battle to cancer and went home.

I write this to share story of our friend. Someone's son, brother, cousin and friend. Those you drive by on street corners or tuck when drive by. There is still light that is there and if stay long enough you will be lucky enough to see it too. You can be someone's light and family that have lost theirs. Rest in peace friend.

Friends and Fam it's that time of year again! Meatapalooza is all you care to eat smoked meat fest that's kid friendly, has live music, homemade ice cream and more!

This is are main fundraiser for C.O.M.O our non profit that covers our TWO Men's Respite Center, THREE, and our men's Transitional living in Westerville. It's a amazing time every year and would love to see you there and help give back to those we serve on Sullivant!
