When life throws you curve balls... 2kings4

“His divine power has given us everything we need for a godly life through our knowledge of him…”
— 2 Peter 1:3

If we’re discipling someone, we’re not giving them our wisdom—we’re helping them discover Jesus.

💧 Give them the Word.
Not our opinions. Scripture. (2 Timothy 3:16–17)

💧 Point them to Jesus.
Not ourselves. Christ. (Philippians 3:8–10)

💧 Call them to obedience.
Don’t just ask what they learned. Ask what they’ll do. (Matthew 28:19–20)

💧 Action Step:
Take someone you’re discipling into Scripture this week. Help them discover what God is saying—and take one step of obedience together.

Who are you discipling, and what is the next step Jesus is calling them to take?

Prayer:
Jesus, make us faithful disciplers. Help us give people Your Word, point them to You, and call them into obedience. Keep us from making disciples after ourselves. May everyone we influence know You, love You, and follow You. Amen.

“Those who are wise will shine like the brightness of the heavens, and those who lead many to righteousness, like the stars for ever and ever.” — Daniel 12:3

What if the greatest legacy we leave is who we lead to Faith in Christ?

💧 Wisdom shines.
Biblical wisdom isn’t just knowing more; it’s living faithfully in a way that points others toward God. (James 3:13)

💧 Faith is meant to be multiplied.
Daniel says those who lead others toward righteousness will shine. Our faith was never meant to stop with us. (Matthew 28:19–20)

💧 What we do for God’s Kingdom lasts forever.
Buildings, careers, possessions, and accomplishments eventually fade. People are eternal. Let’s invest accordingly. (1 Corinthians 15:58)

💧 Action Step:
Identify one person who needs to take a step toward Jesus. Pray for them, encourage them, and intentionally invest in their journey this week.

Who is God putting in your life for you to help lead closer to Jesus?

Prayer:
Father, make our lives shine for You. Give us wisdom to live faithfully and courage to lead others toward Jesus. Keep us from building merely for today when You have called us to invest in eternity. May our lives point people to Christ and leave a legacy that lasts forever. Amen.
