Meet Our October Wellness Ambassador: Donovan Graham!

Donovan is a hardworking, kind-hearted resident who understands that staying well takes commitment—and he encourages his wife, Wilma, to stay active right alongside him!

Donovan regularly participates in Aquafit and Mobility & Balance and has also taken part in Strength & Conditioning. His favorite? Aquafit! He says, “It feels relatively easy, but when we finish, I can always tell I have had a workout!”

For Donovan, wellness is about more than exercise. He appreciates the strength and balance he’s building, but he also enjoys the social side of the classes.

He also shared a great perspective on making wellness a priority:
“Participating in fitness activities is a discipline that I know I need, and I am getting to the place where choosing to take the time is getting easier. It is truly a part of ‘staying well.’”

And a fun fact about Donovan? He once owned what he calls “the coolest car on the planet” — a flaming red 1960 Chevy Impala Coupe!

Congratulations, Donovan! We love seeing your commitment to staying active, having fun, and making wellness part of everyday life at Spring Harbor.

It may not feel like fall outside just yet, but the entrance at Spring Harbor is definitely giving us all the fall vibes!

Pumpkins, hay bales, corn stalks, and those warm autumn colors make for such a beautiful welcome. We may still be waiting on the cooler temperatures, but we’re more than ready to embrace the season! 🍁

🐾 CAN I PET THAT DAWG?! 🐾

The answer was a very enthusiastic YES!❤️

We had the sweetest visit from Wendy and her therapy dog, Bella Rose, and it’s safe to say Bella Rose stole the show!

The absolute happiness on the faces of our residents and staff made the day! There’s just something special about a four-legged friend who knows exactly how to brighten a room.

Thank you, Wendy and Bella Rose, for sharing the love with our Spring Harbor family.

Things got a little competitive this afternoon during a lively game of LCR.

The dice were rolling, the dollars were moving, and the expressions on our residents’ faces were absolutely PRICELESS! 😂

There was plenty of laughter, a little suspense, and maybe just a touch of friendly competition.

And in the end, we had TWO lucky winners walking away with the winnings! 💵🏆💵🏆

Just another afternoon proving that a little friendly competition makes for a whole lot of fun at Spring Harbor!

🎳🏆 Wii Bowling Championship! 🏆🎳

The competition was HOT today as the Purple People Eaters and the Alley Cats hit showed off their Wii Bowling skills!

It was a close match with plenty of strikes, spares, and friendly competition, but in the end, the Purple People Eaters took home the GOLD🥇

Congratulations to our champions—and a big shoutout to the Alley Cats for making them work for it!

Great job to both teams! We love a little friendly competition at Spring Harbor!

There’s something special about the connection between our residents and our Pet Partners of Columbus. A gentle nuzzle, a wagging tail, and a few quiet moments together can bring so much comfort, joy, and plenty of smiles.

We love seeing moments like this—the kind that warm your heart and brighten the whole day. Sometimes the best therapy comes with four paws and a happy tail!

Our Health Care residents brought the style, the smiles, and ALL the personality to Friday’s fashion show!

From favorite outfits to fabulous finds from the Spring Harbor Gift Shop, our models knew exactly how to work the runway. And of course, no Spring Harbor fashion show would be complete without plenty of laughs, cheering, and even a little dancing!

Our September birthday residents gathered with friends for a special celebration filled with cake, ch*****ne, laughter, and good company.

During the announcement, Bernita, our Resident Experience Director for Dining, shared a definition of hospitality that perfectly describes this month’s honoree:

Hospitality is the genuine, intentional act of making others feel welcome, safe, and cared for. It goes beyond a simple business transaction—it’s about how you make people feel.

When we think of that definition, Ma’Halia’s picture should be right beside it.

As a valued member of our Dining Services team, Ma’Halia brings hospitality to life through the warmth, kindness, and genuine care she shows our residents and those around her each day.
