The Columbus Coyotes Rugby Football Club is an LGBTQ+ inclusive club with over 35 players. It competes in Division 2 of the IGR and Division 4 of USA Rugby.
The club is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization. In 2011, a group of guys started an inclusive rugby team to eliminate homophobia in contact sports. They called this team the Columbus Coyotes Rugby Football Club. Six years later on May 6th 2017, the Coyotes celebrated a milestone in moving closer to that goal. We defeated Youngstown Steel Valley, marking the first time in Coyotes history of beating a non-IGR team. With this historic win, we showed that men of any sexual orientation can be strong, tough, and capable enough to play any sport. It took us six years to reach this level. We would like to take this opportunity to encourage all IGR teams to continue learning, improving, and striving towards equality in sports. We would also like to thank everyone who helped get us to this point. This includes all current and past Coyotes, particularly the founding members, IGR, USA Rugby, current and past board members, coaches, sponsors, and supporters. With your help and support, we will continue to eliminate homophobia in contact sports and make the pitch a safe place for us all. Adam Murray

💜 Happy International Le***an Day! 💜
Today, the Columbus Coyotes celebrate and honor the le***an community. Our friends, teammates, sisters, and fellow LGBTQ+ family.
Le***an women have always been on the front lines of our community’s fight for liberation, standing alongside trans women and others during the Stonewall uprising and showing up with courage and solidarity throughout the HIV/AIDS crisis.
Their history is our history. Their fight is part of our fight.
The Coyotes stand firmly with the le***an community in support, solidarity, and love. We’re proud to build a community where everyone can be fully themselves.

Two fantastic games this weekend at Maul on the Mall in Washington DC against the BALTIMORE FLAMINGOS RUGBY FOOTBALL CLUB and Washington Scandals Rugby. The Coyotes came out on top for both games.

Join us OCTOBER 10th at Axis Nightclub for our Lip-Sync Legends Turnabout Show, hosted by the lovely Caleb Mikayla Denise Robinson and Marina C. Jones🫶🏽. You can totally expect some killer looks, and some hair-raising performances that could raise the dead.

Today, we remember Mark Bingham and all those whose lives were lost on September 11, 2001.
Twenty-five years later, Mark’s courage, sacrifice, and championship of LGBTQ+ inclusion continue to inspire. His legacy lives on through International Gay Rugby and the Bingham Cup, where thousands of LGBTQ+ and allied players come together from around the world to compete, connect, and belong.
As the Columbus Coyotes, we are honored to carry that legacy forward.

September 18th - National HIV/AIDS and Aging Awareness Day, a day to celebrate the advances in medicine that allow people with HIV live long, full lives
September 22nd - Practice resumes for this season at Scioto Audubon Metro Park at 6:00
September 23rd - Bi Visibility Day (als the peak of Bisexual+ Awareness Week)
September 27th - National Gay Men’s HIV/AIDS Awareness Day
