🐾❤️ Just another day at the vet… where puppy cuddles are part of the job! ❤️🐾
This sweet boy Baxter had everyone completely smitten during his visit! 🥰 We’re pretty sure his favorite part of coming to see us was all the extra love and attention.
At our clinic, we believe veterinary care should be about more than just checkups .. it’s about making our patients feel safe, loved, and comfortable every step of the way. 🐶💕
Those puppy-dog eyes sure make our jobs a little easier! 🐾

🌷🐾 STOP! Is That Flower Safe for Your Pet? 🐾🌷
Flowers can brighten up our homes and gardens, but some beautiful blooms can be dangerous to our four-legged family members.
Here are a few common plants pet parents should know about:
🚨 LILIES — ESPECIALLY DANGEROUS FOR CATS True lilies and daylilies can cause severe, potentially fatal kidney failure in cats. Even small exposures — including pollen or water from a vase containing lilies — can be dangerous.
🌷 TULIPS & HYACINTHS These can cause vomiting, diarrhea, and drooling in cats and dogs. The bulbs contain higher concentrations of toxins and can be particularly dangerous.
🌼 DAFFODILS Ingestion can cause vomiting, diarrhea, and drooling. Larger amounts, especially the bulbs, can cause more serious problems.
🌺 AZALEAS & RHODODENDRONS These plants can cause vomiting, weakness, and potentially serious heart and nervous-system effects if enough is eaten.
🌿 SAGO PALMS Sago palms are highly toxic to both dogs and cats. Ingestion can cause severe gastrointestinal problems, liver damage, bleeding problems, seizures, and potentially death.
🌸 OLEANDER This beautiful flowering plant can cause serious heart rhythm problems if ingested.
🐾 WHAT SHOULD YOU DO?
If you think your pet has eaten a potentially toxic plant, don't wait for symptoms to appear. Contact your veterinarian or an animal poison-control service right away.

🌱 When in doubt, check before you plant or bring flowers into your home!

This post is for general educational purposes and does not replace veterinary advice. Plant toxicity can vary by species, amount ingested, and the part of the plant consumed.

🐾 Meet Bonnie & Clyde! 🐾
These two little troublemakers have already figured out the most important rule at the vet clinic: if you’re cute.. you get treats. 😂
Bonnie and Clyde were more than happy to cooperate for their exam… as long as the snack department kept up! 🐱❤️
We’re pretty sure they came in for a checkup and left thinking they just visited an all-you-can-eat buffet. 😂

🐾 DID YOU KNOW? 🐾
Your pet can seem perfectly healthy and still have changes happening that you may not notice at home.
Pets are experts at hiding pain and illness, which is why regular wellness exams are so important.. even when your dog or cat is acting completely normal.
During a wellness visit, your veterinarian can look for subtle changes in things like:
🩺 Heart and lung health🦷 Dental disease⚖️ Weight and body condition🐾 Skin, coat, and mobility🦠 Parasites and prevention needs💉 Vaccination needs❤️ Early signs of age-related or underlying health problems
Our recommendations vary depending on your pet's age and stage of life:
🐶 Younger, healthy pets: We generally recommend a wellness exam once a year to keep them on track with preventive care and monitor for changes.
🐕 Senior and older pets: We recommend wellness exams twice a year, along with routine lab work. More frequent visits and bloodwork can help us monitor organ function and identify changes that may not be obvious at home.
Wellness visits aren't just about vaccines. They're an opportunity to establish what's normal for your pet and catch potential problems early.
Because when it comes to our pets, early detection can make a big difference. ❤️
When was your pet's last wellness exam? 🐾

SPAY AND NEUTER POLICY
🐾 Why Do We Require an Exam Before a Spay or Neuter?
We know you’re excited to get your pet scheduled for their spay or neuter, and we want to make the process as easy as possible! 💙 Before scheduling surgery, we do require a pre-surgical exam to make sure your furry family member is healthy and ready for anesthesia.
Our minimum age to spay is 6 months!!
🩺 Why is the exam important?
During the exam, our veterinarian will evaluate your pet’s overall health and listen to their heart and lungs to help determine whether they can safely undergo anesthesia and surgery. This allows us to identify any concerns that may need to be addressed before moving forward.
Every pet is unique! 🐶🐱 The pre-surgical exam also allows the veterinarian to determine the best surgical plan for your individual pet.
💉 Vaccination Requirements
For the safety of all pets in our care, we also require pets to be fully vaccinated by a licensed veterinarian before their surgery.
Please note that we do not accept vaccinations administered by breeders, shelters, or other non-veterinary sources as proof of current vaccination status. Vaccinations must be properly documented by a veterinary clinic.
💰 What about pricing?
We understand that pricing is important, and we want to be as transparent as possible! During the pre-surgical exam, we will provide you with a detailed estimate for your pet’s specific procedure.
We do not provide approximate or “roundabout” pricing over the phone because every surgery can vary depending on your pet’s age, health, size, needs, and the specific procedures or surgical approach recommended by the veterinarian. Providing an estimate after the exam helps ensure you receive the most accurate information possible—without unexpected surprises.
💙 Our Goal
Our number one priority is the health, safety, and well-being of your pet. Requiring an exam and ensuring pets are properly vaccinated before surgery helps us create the safest and most appropriate plan for your furry family member.
We want the very best for your pet and appreciate you trusting us with their care! 🐾❤️
