Sometimes the hardest part of telling someone the truth isn’t knowing what to say. It’s knowing how to say it without losing the person you’re trying to help.
Brook Beasley brought that into our Friday morning conversation as she shared about the Apostle Paul and the compassion he had for people, even when he needed to address some pretty difficult things.
She talked about something we can easily overlook as leaders, spouses, parents, and friends.
Have we spent enough time building trust with someone before expecting them to receive something difficult from us?
Do we celebrate their wins? Notice when they’re struggling? Listen when they need to talk, even when we don’t have an answer?
Brook called those moments deposits into the “trust bank.”
And looking through these photos from this morning, I think you can see why that matters.
The handshakes that turn into hugs. People opening up around the tables. A hand reaching for another during prayer. Conversations that happen because people have spent enough time together to feel comfortable being honest.
We also got to celebrate Bryan Rennell’s one-year anniversary with Level Up + Live, with Cody Schneider presenting his anniversary patch.
A year of relationships, shared experiences, faith, and showing up for one another. Pretty special.
There’s a lot of wisdom in a room full of experienced business owners and leaders, but that wisdom becomes so much more meaningful when it comes from people who actually know you and care about what happens in your life.
Maybe that’s the part that’s been missing from the rooms you’ve been in.
If you’re a business owner, entrepreneur, or executive leader around Conroe, The Woodlands, or Montgomery County who’s been wanting more than another networking connection, come sit around the table with us next Friday.
You might find the kind of people you’ve been hoping to meet without quite knowing where to find them.

You started building the business to create a better life for your family. Somewhere along the way, did the business start getting more of you than the family you built it for?
It's a question a lot of business owners probably don't ask themselves often enough.
There's always another deadline, another customer, another employee who needs something, another opportunity that you can't afford to miss.
And you tell yourself you'll slow down when things settle.
Except they rarely do.
We asked Kirk Wright, CEO of Buildian Construction Services Inc. , where he's experienced the biggest positive impact since joining Level Up + Live.
He didn't talk about revenue or business opportunities.
He talked about his wife and kids.
About being more aware of whether he's actually present when he's with them. About gratitude for the things and people he's gotten so accustomed to having in his life that he sometimes forgets how much they mean.
And something he said really stuck with us.
After you've been doing this long enough, you can start going through the motions and lose touch with why you started.
That's a pretty significant realization for someone who's spent years building a business.
Because what good is building the life you've always wanted if you're too consumed with the business to enjoy the people you wanted to build it with?
These are the conversations that happen at Level Up + Live. Sure, we talk about business, growth, strategy and leadership. But we also talk about what all of that is supposed to mean for our families, our faith and the people we're becoming.
If you're a business owner, entrepreneur or executive leader around Conroe, The Woodlands or Montgomery County who's been feeling that same tension, we'd love for you to come experience a Friday morning with us.

If you have a scoreboard for your business, do you have one for yourself?
Most leaders are intentional about tracking revenue, production, sales, profit, and growth.
But how often do we stop and measure how we’re actually doing as a person?
One simple practice is to create a personal rhythm of reflection.
Every Sunday, take a few minutes to slow down and ask yourself:
What worked this week?
What didn’t?
Where did I lead well?
Where did I fall short?
What am I grateful for?
What needs to change moving forward?
You don’t need to be perfect in every area of life.
You just need enough awareness to recognize when something starts drifting.
Because small adjustments made consistently can keep a small drift from becoming a much bigger problem.
Your business needs a scoreboard.
So do you.
What would your personal scoreboard tell you about the way you’re leading, living, and growing right now?
You can grow your revenue, build the company, hit the goals, and still be losing in the areas of life that matter most.
Four years ago, I had a wake-up call.
From the outside, everything looked successful.
The numbers were good.
The business was growing.
But underneath the surface, I was neglecting my health, my marriage, my relationships, and parts of who I wanted to become as a leader.
That’s when I realized there are multiple scoreboards in life.
It’s easy to focus on the one everyone else can see — revenue, growth, accomplishments, success.
But what about the scoreboards that only you can see?
Your health.
Your marriage.
Your family.
Your character.
Your faith.
Your leadership.
Your relationships.
You can be winning publicly while quietly falling behind personally.
Real success isn't just about what you've built. It's also about who you're becoming while you build it.
So here's the question:
What area of your life looks successful from the outside, but needs your attention on the inside right now?
There’s nothing wrong with knowing more people. But at some point, another contact in your phone probably isn’t what you’re missing.
Most business owners have plenty of connections.
People you’ve met at events. People you can call for a referral. Vendors. Customers. Other owners. People you see around town and know well enough to ask, “How’s business?”
Those relationships have value.
But there’s another kind that takes longer.
The person who knows enough about you to realize when something’s off. Who knows your family, your faith, what you’re trying to build and what it’s costing you to build it. Someone you can call without needing ten minutes of backstory because they already know.
And somewhere along the way, you stop asking what you can do for each other’s businesses and start asking what you can do for each other.
That changes things.
It’s one of the reasons so many conversations around Level Up + Live eventually stop sounding like networking at all.
Business may have been what introduced us.
It just isn't the only reason we keep showing up.
It's who we're becoming together, that is.
If you're a business owner, entrepreneur or executive leader around Conroe, The Woodlands or Montgomery County who's been meeting plenty of people but still feels like something is missing, come spend a Friday morning with us.

It’s easy to give God the glory when you still need Him to make it work. What about after it does?
Conner Halstead got pretty candid around the room this morning.
He admitted that when something goes well in his business, he likes the credit.
And if we’re being real, a lot of owners understand that feeling.
You took the risk. You stayed late. You made the decision nobody else wanted to make. You kept going through the stretch where things weren’t working, figured some stuff out the hard way and eventually got the result.
So when it finally works, “I did this” can feel pretty good.
That’s where this morning’s conversation about humility got interesting.
Conner talked about Case Keenum saying before a recent start that whatever happened, he wanted to give the glory to God and make his kids proud. Then he went out, exceeded expectations and had every reason to enjoy the attention.
Afterward, his answer was still about God.
That left us with a question that reaches well beyond football:
Can we be as humble after the win as we were while we were praying for it?
Not pretending we didn’t work hard. Not making ourselves small.
But being secure enough that somebody else on the team can get the credit.
Doing something nobody wants to do without announcing that we did it.
Remembering that the business, opportunities, people and abilities we’ve been entrusted with were never supposed to become monuments to ourselves.
And maybe that’s one of the harder parts of becoming a better leader.
Failure can humble us without asking permission.
Success gives us the choice.
These are the conversations happening around our tables at Level Up + Live.
Business matters here, absolutely. But we’re just as interested in the man or woman the business is producing along the way.
Because your employees experience that person.
Your spouse does too.
Your kids definitely do.
And eventually, so does everything you’re building.
If you’re a business owner, entrepreneur or executive leader around Conroe, The Woodlands or Montgomery County and you’ve been wondering where you find people you can actually have these conversations with, come sit around the table with us next Friday.
What would make somebody drive almost two hours to spend a Friday morning in this room?
Kirk brought that up when we asked him who he thinks should be walking through the doors of Level Up + Live.
And his answer really wasn't about someone's job title.
If you're a husband, a father, a business owner, someone responsible for a team or simply somebody other people count on, you're already leading somewhere.
The question is what you're doing with that responsibility.
A lot of us will spend an unbelievable amount of time trying to build a better business. We'll learn new systems, hire people, chase growth, solve problems and keep moving the goalposts.
Meanwhile, the person leading all of it can get surprisingly little attention.
That's the part of Kirk's answer that matters.
People aren't protecting Friday mornings because they needed another place to hand out business cards. Some are driving a long way because they've found relationships with other people who care about becoming better husbands, fathers, business owners and leaders too.
People they can learn from. People who understand the responsibility. People who will ask better questions and aren't particularly interested in letting each other settle.
Maybe that's why a two-hour drive can make sense.
If you're a business owner, entrepreneur or executive leader around Conroe, The Woodlands, Magnolia, Montgomery or North Houston, you don't have to drive two hours. 😉
Come see what Kirk is talking about for yourself.

For a long time, my instinct was simple:
Problems come in.
Sean solves them.
Check the box.
Move on to the next thing.
That mindset helped me build my business from scratch.
But it also taught me to carry too much personally.
Eventually, I realized I was carrying a pretty heavy weight on my shoulders.
And while I'm grateful for the people who trusted me to carry it, I've had to learn something important:
Just because you're capable of carrying something doesn't mean it belongs on your shoulders.
So let me ask you:
What are you carrying right now simply because you can carry it?
Because here's where something dangerous can happen…
You can have people everywhere around you and still become isolated because you're carrying everything yourself.
Sometimes strength isn't carrying more.
Sometimes strength is knowing what you can finally put down.
You can be surrounded by people and still feel like you’re carrying everything alone.
That’s one of the dangers of leadership.
Isolation doesn’t always look like being alone.
Sometimes it looks like having employees, customers, friends, followers, and even family around you—but very few people who actually know how you’re doing.
People may know what you do.
They may know about your business, your success, your responsibilities, and everything you’re carrying.
But who actually knows you?
Real growth requires more than people to network with.
It requires people who will challenge you, encourage you, ask the hard questions, and create space for conversations that go deeper than revenue, business, and results.
Because you weren’t meant to carry everything alone.
Who do you have in your life who knows how you’re actually doing?
After everyone brings you their problems, who do you bring yours to?
That question hits a little differently when you’re the owner.
Your team needs a decision. A customer needs something fixed. Somebody’s frustrated, somebody needs reassurance, the numbers aren’t quite where you want them, and there’s another decision waiting behind the one you’re making now.
Most days, you handle it. That’s part of what you signed up for.
But somewhere along the way, it can become normal to be the person everyone depends on while quietly having no idea who you’d call when you’re the one who needs perspective.
Not because you don’t have friends. Not because your spouse doesn’t care. Sometimes you just need to sit across from somebody who understands the weight of making decisions when employees, customers and families are affected by what happens next.
That was a big part of the conversation around our tables Friday morning.
There’s something different about being able to say, “Here’s what I’m dealing with,” and hearing someone across the table say, “Yeah. I’ve been there. Here’s what I learned.”
No performance. No pretending you already have the answer because you’re the one in charge.
Sometimes you need people you can bring your problems to, too.
That’s a big part of why Level Up + Live exists.
If you own a business or lead a team around Conroe, The Woodlands, Magnolia, Montgomery or North Houston and this feels a little familiar, come spend a Friday morning around the table with us.
