Big feelings are part of growing up! 💛😊

This October, our little learners here at The Learning Experience are diving into My Emotions and Feelings, a curriculum theme designed to help children better understand what they’re feeling, express themselves, and build the social-emotional skills they’ll use every day. 🌈💬

With Miss Chievous by their side, children will explore the many emotions they experience and discover simple ways to navigate big feelings. ✨

Learning how to understand our feelings is an important part of learning how to care for ourselves, connect with others, and grow with confidence. 💕 We can't wait to see what this month of exploration and discovery brings! 🌱

🔺🟣 Shapes in the Sand! 🟣🔺

Twaddlers explored kinetic sand using different shape molds, scoops, and tools to press, fill, and create. As they handled the sand, they strengthened the small muscles in their hands and practiced coordination between their hands and eyes. ⭐🔺🟩

The activity also gave them opportunities to recognize and explore different shapes while learning how pressing, scooping, and molding can change the sand. These simple movements support fine motor development and help build the hand control needed for everyday tasks like holding crayons, using utensils, and eventually writing. ✋✨

🌈 Color Matching Fun! 🚗

Our little learners had fun exploring different colors using colorful cars and matching mats. Through this activity, they practiced recognizing colors, reaching and grasping objects, and placing each car on its matching color.

A simple activity that supports early color recognition, fine-motor development, and coordination while keeping learning fun and hands-on. ❤️💛💚🧡

As we revisit this school year's philanthropy curriculum concepts throughout August, our little learners are reconnecting with Grace the Greyhound and Charity Chihuahua while exploring what it means to show generosity, practice compassion, and help others. 💙

Through drawing, creative activities, and meaningful conversations about philanthropy, donations, and kindness, they're discovering that even the smallest acts of giving can make a big difference in the lives of others. 🫶✨

That's August's diversity motto, and it's one our little learners bring to life every day!

As they explore hands-on STEAM activities alongside Two Plus Toucan, children are building confidence, strengthening problem-solving skills, and discovering that with curiosity and perseverance, they're capable of amazing things.

Learning through listening and exploring! 📚💛

Our little learners gathered to listen as their teacher shared a story and introduced new ideas. As they watched, listened, and responded, they were building early language skills, expanding their vocabulary, and practicing how to focus during a group learning experience. 📚✨

These moments encourage them to practice listening, stay engaged, and build confidence as they explore new words and ideas. 💛🌈

Letter learning is always more fun with hands-on practice! Our Preppers spent time becoming more familiar with different letters while recognizing and working with them through a simple, engaging activity. This gave them a chance to practice letter recognition, build confidence, and strengthen their early literacy skills in a fun way. 🖍️📚💛🔤✨

Each activity gives them another chance to recognize and become more comfortable with their letters. 🔤💛

What Shape Is It? 🔵🟨

The children had fun looking at different objects and figuring out which shape each one represents! They carefully observed the pictures and chose the shape that matched, making the activity a fun way to practice shape recognition. ✏️

Through this activity, they were encouraged to look closely at the objects, think about their shape, and make their own choices as they worked through each one. A simple and fun way to make learning shapes more hands-on! 📚✨

A Little Paint, A Lot of Creativity! 🖌️✨🎨

The Twaddlers had fun exploring paint in a colorful art activity! They used different tools to make dots, lines, and colorful marks on their paper, creating their own unique artwork along the way. 🌈🎨

Activities like this give children the chance to explore colors, create their own colorful designs, and enjoy the freedom of making something all their own. Every little dab, dot, and brushstroke adds to the fun! 💙💛💜

At The Learning Experience, happy moments and creative discoveries go hand in hand! 🥰✨

Books give infants a simple and meaningful way to explore the world around them. During this activity, they spent time looking at colorful illustrations, turning pages, and observing the different pictures in their books. These early book experiences help build an interest in stories while giving infants opportunities to hear new words, recognize familiar images, and begin connecting pictures with meaning. 📚✨

As they explored each page at their own pace, they were also practicing careful observation and learning to stay engaged with something in front of them. 💛 Small moments like these help make early learning feel natural, enjoyable, and part of their everyday routine. 📖🌟
