QSL America is showing exactly what anti-worker and anti-American behavior looks like.

For 16 months, workers have been on strike fighting for what every worker in this country deserves: safe working conditions, dignity, respect, and basic workers’ rights. Instead of doing right by the people who keep the supply chain moving, QSL has chosen to mistreat workers and ignore the dangerous conditions they are speaking out against.

Now we are taking that message to Shinsho American Corp.

Shinsho’s steel coils are unloaded by QSL. Those coils move through the auto supply chain. These companies cannot look the other way while workers are forced to fight month after month for safety and respect.

We have not forgotten the steel coil drop. Unsafe work conditions are not just a labor issue — they are a public safety issue.

Any company benefiting from this supply chain should be demanding answers from QSL. They should be asking why workers have been on strike for 16 months, why safety concerns remain unresolved, and why dignity and respect are still being denied.

QSL must stop hiding behind the supply chain and start taking responsibility.

Workers built this country. Workers keep these companies running. And workers will not be ignored.

DANGEROUS SITUATIONS TODAY at Chicago’s Port where QSL runs its operations. Two short videos captured people attempting to cross the tracks as a train was about to move — and a driver going around the tracks.

This is not an isolated concern. We continue to see repeated dangerous incidents at the Chicago Port tracks where QSL operates, putting both members of the public and workers in harm’s way. These situations demand immediate attention, accountability, and stronger safety practices before someone is seriously hurt.

Check out this great story on Local 150 member, Ron Pitelka, who helped dig up a 400 million year old boulder at O’Hare.

Heavy lifting: This boulder aficionado helped unearth a 50-ton rock at O’Hare Over the last two decades, the 45-year-old excavator operator has amassed a collection of several hundred rocks. But none are as large as the one dug up at O’Hare.

IUOE Local 150 and Phoenix Construction have reached an agreement to support local jobs and advance Project Maize in Michigan City. As Phase II begins, Local 150 members are ready to bring their “superior skill(s), training, and professionalism” to help deliver lasting value for Northwest Indiana.
