Today we celebrate National Day of the Cowboy, not just the men and women who continue to live this way of life, but the legacy they carry forward each and every day.

I don't see myself as just a photographer, but kind of a historian with a camera. Why, you may ask? The answer is simple: these traditions deserve to be remembered.

My mission is to preserve their stories by creating images that honor the people who still live them and ensure generations to come can see what the American cowboy truly represents.

Happy National Day of the Cowboy to all who keep this heritage alive. It's an honor to tell your story. ❤

We have returned to the Dryhead Ranch in Montana every year since 2019, and every year I find myself asking, "How could this possibly get any better?" Somehow, it always does.

A heartfelt thank you to Jennifer, Jake, Jessie, Kristen, Braden, and everyone at the Dryhead Ranch for welcoming us like family and creating an experience that leaves us inspired year after year.

And to the amazing photographers who choose to join us on these adventures, thank you for your enthusiasm, creativity, and for trusting us to be part of your photography journey. The friendships we build and the memories we share are what make these retreats so meaningful. Cowgirls with Cameras

From the mountains of Montana and back home to Georgia, what an incredible 2.5 weeks I've had. Way too many images for one post, as I had the privilege of photographing at so many beautiful places on this trip, ending with Dryhead Ranch and Cowgirls with Cameras.

It all started in Sula, Montana, where I had the privilege of being a guest presenter for the Cowboy Creative. Lauren Moylan put together such a fantastic event, and it was a joy to spend time with such a talented, welcoming group of photographers.

We were treated to beautiful Montana skies, gorgeous palomino horses, and so many opportunities to create and learn together. To top it all off, we celebrated our country's 250th birthday in true western style, a celebration I'll never forget.

It's the people that make these trips special, the shared passion for photography, and the friendships made along the way.

Thank you, Lauren, for the invitation and for creating such a memorable experience.
