Buddy Check Bakery

Veteran-owned bakery crafting homemade cookies meant to be given, not just eaten. Every batch we bake carries more than flavor — it carries connection.
Every box includes Buddy Notes — small messages of encouragement that remind someone they’re appreciated and not alone.🍪 Buddy Check Bakery was born from the belief that small acts of kindness can make a big difference. Founded by veterans, our mission is to bring a touch of home to every doorstep — one Buddy Note at a time. Inside each package, you’ll find a Buddy Note — encouragement, enlightenment, or a laugh — a simple reminder to bring a smile and let you know someone out there cares. 💌
Our signature line, Aunt Val’s Chocolate Chip Cookies, started it all. Hand-crafted with love, they capture the warmth of home and the joy of sharing a sweet moment with others. Whether you’re sending a gift, supporting a local business, or just treating yourself, you’re helping us spread encouragement and smiles — one Buddy Note at a time.

Meet our Oatmeal Toffee Cookie.
Old-fashioned oats, brown sugar, a little cinnamon, and English toffee bits come together in this new addition. It’s an oatmeal cookie with something extra in every bite.

Peanuts. Oats. Pumpkin.
Those are the familiar ingredients behind Ellie Snax dog treats.
They began as something for Ellie and have grown into a regular part of Buddy Check Bakery, especially at our local events.

Most people see the cookies when they are finished.
What they do not see is the measuring, mixing, portioning, baking, cooling, packaging, cleaning, and starting again.
That quiet work is part of building a small bakery, one batch and one order at a time.
Which part of the baking process would you like to see more of?

You do not have to solve everything today.
Sometimes the best thing you can do is choose one useful step and take it.
Make the call. Start the conversation. Finish the task in front of you.
One step may not solve everything, but it can change the direction of the day.

Buddy Check Bakery is veteran-owned, but that is more than a line in our description.
The name comes from a lesson carried forward from 24 years in the Marine Corps: people do better when they know someone is paying attention, checking in, and standing beside them.
The bakery became another way to carry that idea into everyday life through something familiar and easy to share.
That is the heart of Comfort. Kindness. Connection.
If that mission resonates with you, share our page with someone who may appreciate it too.
