102 YEARS OLD AND STILL STANDING!

It’s been a while since I’ve visited Bull Slough Bridge.

Hidden along the Sepulga River near Brooklyn, Alabama, is Bull Slough Bridge, a piece of Alabama history built back in 1924!

Stretching 252 feet across the river, this historic bridge features massive steel trusses and an old-fashioned wooden roadway are something you don’t see in modern bridges. Its steel truss design is a reminder of the engineering that went into building bridges over a century ago.

Surrounded by beautiful river scenery, it’s one of those places that makes you feel like you’ve traveled back in time. There are also remnants of an old mill farther downstream that I have yet to visit.

Just nature doing what nature does. This is a large piece of driftwood washing up to shore on “Stump Beach” in Port St. Joe, FL.

A tour of Morrison Springs from ground level. I love how the blue water through the trees looks. 🩵

This crystal clear spring run at Cypress Springs keeps getting clearer and clearer. It’s going to be invisible before too long. 🤣

Went on a long hike through the woods of the Eglin Reservation this morning. My first time here was fun, but I am beat. 😓

I heard today that you can hike this trail all the way from Crestview to the Keys.

Do y’all know if anyone has ever done the whole thing?

I paddled down to Cypress today and it is just so amazing this time of the year. I call it locals season.

Stopped by Morrison Springs today and it looked amazing as always. 🩵

Also saw some people there shooting a movie or documentary in the woods today.

Anybody else see them or know what they were filming?

This is my favorite time of the year to go to the springs. When you can get there at noon and still pretty much have the whole spring to yourself.
