This sound is straight from Sainte's brain! 😆😆😆 But, she was a big girl tonight, doing her adult sized hunter hops, so tootly. 🥰
Got the hard lines handled today. 😎 These 2 and 5 strides are both 😮💨😅 All gas, no brakes. Dang derbies with their pace and brilliance. The add step is my demon. 😵💫🤪😆
If you seeeeeeee a massive wall of fire wood logs on your trail ride, obviously you muuuuuust jump said massive wall of fire wood logs on your trail ride, lol! Handy little derby horse in the making, one self-imposed dare at a time. 😆 What you can’t see is the horribly narrow, accuracy-demanding approach we had to navigate; there are two felled logs on the take-off side that required we hit the 3’ space between them perfectly like a chute, and then we had to splice the log pile on the most dramatic of angles. Still shots in the comments! 🤩
First three, last three, and only three changes we did, as a final prep for her Western Riding debut tomorrow. No need to do more, when she nailed them right away. Lets goooooo! 🦄
Heaven is definitely in the air over a huge fence, BUT home is on the ground, loping around, sitting in a pretty, blinged out Western saddle, astride a really good-moving Quarter Horse. 🥰
Throwbacks to Sambo. 🫶

Even completely spent, shiny silver in a stunning sunset stopped me in my tracks tonight; God never fails to paint the prettiest pictures, when I need to see them the most. 🙏📿🧎♀️➡️🦄
Now to actually go polish this saddle because it had no right to look as good as it does here (at first glance), in its current state of totally tarnished, after getting wrecked by the heat and humidity all week. 😅
Sneak peek of Sushi and Chinni from last night, while I was mowing their field. You have to squint really hard to see them because they are still inside of Annie and Eden and only currently the size of rabbits, lol, but still… super cute! 🥰😆

I would rather redo all two hours of this morning’s training ride wearing black show chaps in 104° real feel than watch a single minute of this afternoon’s Auburn Baylor game ever get replayed. 🦄>🏈
Today was about straightening, strengthening, and smoothing out someone’s crooked, hollow, hoppy, and occasionally disunited changes. 😜🦄 Don’t be afraid of fixing impulsion issues with… impulsion. Energy is not the enemy - forward first! I have seven other minutes of footage that got us to this point, which I can share in the comments, but TLDR: the very simple answer to Anna’s less than stellar swaps was straightforward (no pun intended, lol), true, quality engagement. 🥰 Excellent effort today from the pretty red roan! You get to enjoy Ally’s brutally correct, occasionally comical commentary instead of theme music with this one. 😆

Perfect day: we all rode our pretty ponies this morning, then got pretty to watch real ponies play polo this evening! So much fun! The husbands were even good sports and came along to hang out with us at Bluewater Creek! 🥰🐎🏒

While we are briefly being blown off the map by this pop-up thunderstorm, I thought I’d take a second to show you what is at least tied with (if not, a nose ahead of) our pretty purple line for my favorite fences on the new course! WDE! 🐯🦅
You have to zoom in to appreciate the weagle atop the front left standard, the itty bitty Aubie spooking the Alabama elephant, and the FREAKING ADORABLE ROLL OF TOILET PAPER that Lauren’s husband, Andrew, 3D printed for us to add as the most perfect finishing touch to our Toomer’s Corner oaks! 🤩
I’m obsessed with every single tiny little detail (like our logo nestled amidst my favorite flowers, hyacinths), and the agave plants (in honor of my mother and her favorite tequila, Patron). I used Monsteras for the other foliage because they resemble elephant ears, and Taylor has her very own bowl of sports balls 🎾 🏈🏐🏀 that she pulls from every single day and happily totes around, while I teach lessons! 🥰
At the very end, there is a Spike and Melissa cameo, from their lesson a couple weeks ago, for a size comparison; this is the fence Sainte jumped in the video I posted on Monday! 🦄
