This post may be a little late, but for good reason—we were waiting on our awesome new On Point Educator of the Month sign to arrive! ❤️🤍

We are excited to officially recognize Mr. Walker as our August Educator of the Month!

The nominations from students and parents made it clear just how much of an impact Mr. Walker has made. They described a teacher who pours into his students, believes in what they are capable of, and continually challenges them to reach beyond what they thought they could do. Parents shared how meaningful it has been to watch him encourage their children, build their confidence, and even inspire a love of music that may shape their future careers.

Congratulations, Mr. Walker! We are thankful for the passion, dedication, and heart you bring to West Point every day. You are ON POINT!

Applications for the Academy of Craft Training’s 2027–28 school year are now open at all four Alabama campuses: North Alabama, Birmingham, Central Alabama, and Mobile!

If you’re in 10th or 11th grade, you can explore Commercial Construction, Commercial Electrical, HVACR & Mechanical Systems, or Industrial Metal Fabrication while learning real skills from industry professionals.
