Tropical Storm Isaias has developed in the southwest Gulf of America and is forecast to become a hurricane with a landfall near the AL/FL Gulf Coast.

The forecast track of Isaias is now faster and further east, moving northward through Alabama into middle Tennessee Friday night into Saturday as it weakens.

There is now a medium chance of impactful gusty winds and heavy rainfall, with a low risk of flooding across the Tennessee Valley.

10/06/2026

We are watching the potential for a low in the western Gulf to strengthen as it moves north towards the MS/AL coast.

Heavy rainfall and gusty winds are the main concern for this weekend if this system develops.

Rain chances return Friday and increase through the weekend, with 70–80% chances expected Saturday and Sunday.

With the potential for periods of heavier rainfall, we could see localized flooding, especially in low-lying areas, poor drainage areas, and places that typically hold water.
