This Sunday, Pastor Tim reminded us that loving God is more than a command. It’s the foundation for everything else.

Jesus lived with one purpose: to love the Father. Every word He spoke, every act of compassion, and even His sacrifice on the cross flowed from His love for the Father. As we abide in Christ, He reshapes our hearts so that our love for God becomes the source of how we love others.

At The Vine, our vision is to flourish in God’s grace by fully engaging in the 3 loves: loving God, loving each other, and loving the community. It all begins by abiding in Christ, the true Vine.

It’s possible to be looking right at Jesus… and still miss Him.

In John 9, the only person who begins the story physically blind is the one who ends up seeing most clearly. Meanwhile, those who were convinced they had all the answers remained blind to the One standing in front of them.

This Sunday, Youth Pastor Artis Love reminded us that our greatest need isn’t simply for better circumstances or clearer direction. It’s for Christ to open our eyes to who He is.

The good news of the Gospel is that Jesus still sees the overlooked, pursues the broken, and opens blind eyes. And when we truly see Him, worship isn’t something we’re forced into. It’s the only response that makes sense.

If you missed Sunday’s message, we encourage you to spend some time in John 9 and watch the full sermon.

Mission Monday | Greece 🇬🇷

We’re praising God for all He did through our Short-Term Mission Team in Greece.

This team had the incredible opportunity to share the hope of the Gospel with refugees from African, Afghan, and Arab backgrounds, many of whom may never have the opportunity to hear about Jesus in their home countries.

Over and over again, God went before them. He opened doors for conversations, created opportunities to show Christ’s love through simple acts of hospitality, and reminded the team that He is always at work. They also witnessed moments they can only describe as God’s hand at work, powerful reminders that He is still drawing people to Himself.

Our prayer is that the seeds planted would continue to bear fruit, and that the Lord would strengthen our ministry partners as they faithfully serve long after our team has returned home.

If you have the chance, ask someone who went on the trip to share about their experience. We’ve already heard incredible stories of God’s faithfulness, and we know there are many more to tell.

Thank you for praying, giving, and sending. We praise God for His faithfulness. 🤍

Women’s Bunco Night was a blast! 🎲

Thank you to everyone who came! It was a joy to see women of all ages gather around the table, share plenty of laughs, and enjoy time together. We’re thankful for opportunities like these to deepen friendships, encourage one another, and grow together as the body of Christ.

We’re already looking forward to the next gathering!

This week in 2 Samuel 12:1-15, Garrison Young reminded us of a truth we all need to hear:

The Lord has put away your sin.

Before we can truly experience God’s grace, we must stop denying our sin and honestly bring it into the light. Like David, we often want to justify, minimize, or hide our failures. Yet in His mercy, God lovingly pursues us, not to shame us, but to rescue us from the destruction sin brings.

The beauty of the Gospel is this: the Lord knows us completely, yet He loves us completely. Through Christ, there is forgiveness, restoration, and hope.

“Cheer up! You’re a worse sinner than you ever dared imagine, and you’re more loved than you ever dared hope.” - Jack Miller

What does your heart reveal?

This week in 2 Samuel 10-11, Pastor Andrew contrasted the anatomy of the human heart with the anatomy of Christ’s heart. While David’s story exposes the reality of sin that lives in every one of us, it also points us to the only King who never failed.

The hope of the gospel isn’t that we can fix ourselves. It’s that Jesus, the perfectly obedient Son and true King, has traded our evil for His goodness, our shortcomings for His perfection, and our depravity for His holiness.

Because of Him, redemption isn’t just a past event. It’s an ongoing work. Christ is transforming us day by day, and one day, every trace of sin will be gone as we are fully redeemed by the blood of the Lamb.

This past Sunday, we had the joy of hearing from Clara and Logan as they shared how God worked through our recent mission trips to Clarkston, GA and West Virginia. 🤍

From children in Clarkston joyfully learning about Jesus to families in West Virginia being served through practical help and the hope of the gospel, we're thankful for the ways God is advancing His Kingdom through these partnerships.

Our Short-Term Missions exist to see the Kingdom of God advance, strengthen our global ministry partners, and grow our teams as they learn to depend more deeply on Christ.

As we celebrate these stories, would you also pray for our team currently serving alongside Amor Real Ministries in Lima, Peru? Pray that God would strengthen them, bless their ministry partners, and continue drawing people to Himself through every conversation, act of service, and opportunity to share the gospel. 🌎🙏

If you'd like to hear Clara and Logan's full recap, you can watch it from Sunday's livestream here: https://www.youtube.com/live/DkHzxE5VEeY?si=kSdk2kHMTYhoMgjU&t=4326

🌎 Missions Monday

Last week, a Short-Term Missions (STEM) team from The Vine had the privilege of serving alongside Clarkston International Bible Church, encouraging their ministry to refugee families through a day camp and relationship-building in the community.

At The Vine, we believe short-term missions are about more than the work we do. They’re an opportunity to strengthen our global ministry partners, see God’s heart for the nations, and grow in our own dependence on Christ.

Thank you for praying for this team. Please continue to pray for Clarkston International Bible Church, the children and families they serve, and the lasting fruit of the relationships built throughout the week. 🙏
