Molly is the more outgoing of the two, while sweet Phoebe is a little shy and feels more confident with a kitty friend by her side. Having Molly with her would make the transition into a new home so much easier. ❤️

We are so thankful for our adopters who open their homes and hearts. Every adoption makes room for us to say YES to another cat or kitten in need.

Kitten adoptions have been especially difficult for us. We would absolutely love to continue helping more cats and kittens, but we can only do that when the ones already in our care find homes.

🐾 Hi, I’m Theo! I’ve been in boarding for over a YEAR, and frankly… I think I’ve paid my dues.

I’m handsome, well-trained, walk nicely on a leash, know my manners, and I’m VERY devoted to my people. Basically, I’m the whole package. 😊

My dream home? Calm, confident humans who believe in structure, consistency, and letting me be the ONLY DOG.

Meet Finn! 🩶 This sweet 5yr old GDS mix has found himself in a desperate situation since his owners passed away 6mths ago. He is living with two other dogs, Bertha and Mr. Bear, outside while a neighbor has been taking care of them. He is a sweet boy and loves to get attention. He longs to find a new family and live in a cozy home. We don't know much about his history but we know his owners raised him and deeply loved him. If you can open up your home to this sweet boy and/or Bertha/Mr. Bear, fill out an application at bigloverescue.org.

❤️ Meet Rasmus. A boy who just wants to be loved. (See VIDEOS in the comments)❤️

If Rasmus could choose his perfect day, it would include a nice walk, some playtime, and then as many cuddles as you’re willing to give him. This sweet boy absolutely lives for affection and attention and is happiest when he’s close to his people.

It’s hard to believe that just a few weeks ago, Rasmus was wandering around a local elementary school. For more than two weeks, he was left there while people hoped he would simply move along and become someone else’s problem. He was covered in fleas, painfully thin, and about 25 pounds underweight.

But Rasmus hasn’t let any of that change his heart. ❤️

In just under two weeks, he has already gained 8 pounds and is thriving with good food, care, and his favorite thing of all... LOVE.

His finder chose the name Rasmus because it means “beloved and devoted,” and that couldn’t be a more fitting name. Razz bonds quickly with his people and truly wants to please. He has become especially attached to his finders and their children. Maybe it’s fitting that he was found at an elementary school, because this boy clearly has a soft spot for kids. 🥹

Rasmus is approximately 5 years old, and is now neutered, fully vaccinated, and microchipped. He is perfectly potty trained, does wonderfully on leash walks, and is smart, eager to learn, and loves being around his people. His full bloodwork also shows that he is overall a healthy boy.

He is heartworm positive, but he has already started treatment and prevention, and the cost of his complete heartworm treatment will be covered.

Razz is still learning that he doesn’t need to jump up to say hello—he just gets SO excited to see people! Because of that enthusiasm, we recommend children 10+ for now.

He has also done well with slow introductions to other dogs. He gets very excited about potential new friends, so any introductions should be gradual and carefully supervised while he continues learning his manners.

He’s affectionate. He’s devoted. He’s smart. He loves deeply. We would love nothing more than to see Rasmus finally become someone’s beloved boy. ❤️

Meet Carmen🩷🐴 Every morning the first thing she does is go watch the horses at her foster home. She absolutely loves them! This girl has the sweetest temperament and is very laid back for a 1 yr old dog. She LOVES being around her humans, getting attention, and especially snuggling. She’s dog and kid friendly too!
