Hurricane Isaias Update – Stay Informed & Safe
Hurricane Isaias has rapidly intensified into a major Category 3 storm with sustained winds of 120 mph as it moves north-northeast across the Gulf of Mexico. The center is currently about 180–195 miles south of Pensacola, Florida, and is expected to approach the northern Gulf Coast this afternoon/evening, making landfall within the hurricane warning area (Ocean Springs, MS to the Bay/Gulf County line, FL) tonight or early Saturday. Life-threatening storm surge of up to 6+ feet, devastating winds, and heavy rainfall are likely along the Florida Panhandle and Alabama coasts, with the system then tracking inland and weakening as a tropical storm across Alabama. Evacuation orders and states of emergency are already in effect—heed official guidance from the National Hurricane Center and local authorities.

We recently conducted a detailed structural inspection of the basement masonry walls and garage concrete slab for a real estate transaction in Lithia Springs, GA 30122.
Our evaluation revealed typical age-related settlement and construction issues common in the area, including:
Cracks and horizontal separations in the garage slab and driveway (likely from soil compaction and lack of reinforcement)
A repairable vertical crack on the step-down foundation wall
Minor stucco and sealant maintenance items
