Permit reform is increasingly critical to the timely and cost-effective delivery of America’s energy infrastructure. This session will examine the differences between permitting challenges for transmission and distribution projects and the downstream impacts those processes create for contractors in the field. Discussion will focus on the unique permitting needs of horizontal directional drilling (HDD), natural gas distribution, and electric transmission, including delays, regulatory complexity, agency coordination, and inconsistent requirements across jurisdictions. Join the discussion on what meaningful permit reform could look like from the field to the federal level.

DCA contractor and associate members come together each year for an exciting and spirited event that raises crucial funds for the association. These funds support DCA’s educational initiatives and scholarships for deserving students who will promote and enhance the industry. 🎉We’re thrilled to welcome Laura Jackson as Member Services Coordinator at DCA! 

Laura brings a wealth of experience in event operations, workplace experience, and corporate event coordination.

While working for KPMG, she coordinated executive meetings, client events, and corporate programs. Prior to KPMG, Laura worked for Latham & Watkins LLP, supporting executive meetings, client events, and internal programs. She also brings a strong customer experience background from The Farmer’s Dog, which her dog still enjoys to this day. Laura is a Baylor University graduate with a degree in Corporate Communications. Serving as a key point of contact for members and vendors, Laura will support DCA’s membership, meetings and events, administrative operations, and social media/marketing efforts.
