We accomplish our mission through our one of a kind publication and our programs that educate, encourage, equip and empower women. The moment a woman is diagnosed with cancer, the way she looks at everything in life changes. What once were simple pleasures become complicated. Whether a new personal diagnosis, amidst a series of treatments, or in remission, Brighter magazine strives to be the resource for beauty, health and relationship advice for each of these women. Our goal is to help you feel empowered, equipped and enthusiastic about your live during these critical times.

Come join us on Thursday, October 22nd from 6:30 to 8:30 pm at the Brighter Office for an evening of learning all about skincare during and after treatment. Oncology trained professionals from the Ricardo Fisas Foundation will lead participants through a relaxing skincare routine. Dinner will be provided. We hope you’ll join us for this educational and fun night filled with connection with other survivors.

Meet Sandra, breast cancer survivor! Sandra found that treatment was a time that forced her to slow down, saying, “It was definitely a time to be still in every way.” She noted that physically she had to take it slow, but she also learned to healthily cope with her emotions and express them more fully. She found that cancer brought her closer with God, something she is incredibly grateful for.
When asked for her advice for others, Sandra said, “Do not be anxious about anything. Talk to God about everything. Let Him know what you need and thank Him for all He has done. Then you will experience His peace that exceeds all understanding.”
