It’s growth season at Deeper Church! 🌱
Grow Sunday was filled with worship, prayer, the Word, joy, and meaningful connection across generations. We had a blast meeting our small-group leaders and discovering opportunities to build relationships, strengthen our faith, and grow in community—because God never intended us to grow alone.
In our ROOTED series, PD Sue shared, “The Fruit Must Govern the Gift.” We were reminded that being gifted is not the same as being mature.
The gift may reveal what God can do through us, but the fruit reveals what God is doing in us.
A gift is a stewardship, not a status symbol. God gives through us because He loves the people around us. So we will pursue love, desire spiritual gifts, keep in step with the Spirit, and let the fruit govern the gift.
Our gifts may make people aware of our ministry, but our fruit should make people aware of Jesus.
This is more than a season to join a group—it’s a season to become more like Christ, together. Let’s go deeper! 💙

Every believer has a gift. God uses our wisdom, mercy, encouragement, teaching, generosity, and compassion to make His Spirit visible in the world. The church is not a building, it's God's people. We are the temple of the Holy Spirit. We are God's display. 🙌🏽

Today’s reminder from 1 Corinthians 12: you belong, and you are needed.
The Body of Christ was never designed for comparison, competition, or self-sufficiency. We are many parts, one body—and God has intentionally placed each of us where He chooses.
Your difference does not disqualify you. Your lack of visibility does not diminish your value. And your lack of a platform does not mean you lack purpose.
Diversity is God’s design. Division is not.
We need one another. ❤️
ONE tree, ONE God, ONE spirit!! Every part of the fruit comes from the same SOURCE✝️and God is inviting us to draw from that source every day.
Be encouraged today as you draw from the Source, and know that He empowers us to produce every part of HIs fruit!!🍎🍊🍌🥝🍇

🌱 SUNDAY RECAP | ROOTED: SPIRITUAL GIFTS
Different gifts. Same Spirit. Same Lord. Same God.
This Sunday, we were reminded that spiritual gifts are not about platform, performance, or recognition—they are grace-gifts given for the common good.
🔥 “Your gift is not about your platform. It’s about somebody else’s blessing.”
May we be a church that stays grounded in the Word, seeks the Holy Spirit, and uses what God has placed in us to build up the Body and point people to Jesus.
1 Corinthians 12:1–11
What if the biggest thing standing between us and what God wants to do... is our priorities?
God was never meant to be our backup plan or our last resort. He deserves our first "yes," not what's left after everything else.

ROOTED | Part III: Gifts of the Spirit 🌿🔥

Today looked different.
There wasn’t a traditional sermon or formal message. Instead, as we gathered with open hearts, the Holy Spirit ministered in a profound way. God’s manifest presence filled the room as people worshiped, prayed, surrendered, encouraged one another, and encountered Him personally.
Some were embraced.
Some were restored.
Some were prayed over.
Some simply sat in awe of His presence.
This is what we long for—not merely to hear about God, but to meet with Him.
As Paul reminds us:
“Now there are varieties of gifts, but the same Spirit… To each is given the manifestation of the Spirit for the common good.” — 1 Corinthians 12:4, 7
We’re grateful for every volunteer, worship leader, children’s worker, prayer partner, and every person who simply said “yes” to what God was doing.
We’re not just learning about being rooted—we’re becoming rooted in Christ.

There is an eternal thirst in the human heart that success, relationships, entertainment, approval, and self-effort cannot satisfy.
Jesus still gives the same invitation:
“If anyone thirsts, let him come to Me and drink.” —John 7:37
The well has not run dry.
The price has already been paid.
The invitation is still open.
Come to Jesus. Drink deeply. Then carry His living water into a thirsty world. 💧
Rooted in Our Witness
God is serious about our witness. As believers, the way we live, speak, and treat others should reflect the character of Christ. Too often, we call ourselves Christians while treating people poorly, and that contradiction creates confusion. People are watching our lives more closely than they are listening to our words.
Our witness has a profound impact on the lives of others. It can draw people toward Christ or push them away. When our actions do not align with our faith, we misrepresent the God we claim to serve. But when we demonstrate love, grace, kindness, and integrity, we become living examples of God's transforming power.
The question is not simply whether we identify as Christians, but whether our daily lives bear witness to Christ. Our witness matters because people's lives, perceptions, and even their relationship with God can be influenced by what they see in us.
Matthew 23:15 “Woe to you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites! For you travel land and sea to win one proselyte, and when he is won, you make him twice as much a son of [a]hell as yourselves.
Key takeaway: Our testimony is not only what we say about God; it is what our lives reveal about Him every day.
