Me and my mini.
Nurse practitioner. Mom. Building the blueprint I never had for her.

This is for every mom in healthcare balancing patients and pickups, big dreams and baby steps. I didn’t have a mentor who looked like me growing up, so I’m building the path myself, one step at a time and would love for you to come along for the journey

Every impossible dream starts exactly like this small, unsure, one step at a time

Every dream worth chasing comes with a few falls but having someone to pick you up makes all the difference 💕

They say she listens because it’s her job. Truth is, I listen because I care.

Between charting and real life, my mind stays on my patients did they heal, did they feel heard, are they okay.
This isn’t just a job. It’s purpose.
As a Doctor of Nursing Practice and Family Nurse Practitioner, woman in healthcare that is also a Latina in the 1% with a Doctorate I don’t just treat. I advocate and show up for my patients and guide them every step of the way throughout their wellness journey.

Healthcare needs heart. Mine comes with me every day.

Share this with a healthcare provider who leads with heart. ✨🩺❤️

“You’re so lucky.”

No baby...

Every late night. Every obstacle. Every person who counted me out. I turned it all into fuel.
I didn’t get lucky. I refused to quit.

Want more day-in-the-life vlogs like this?

A day in my life as a nurse practitioner entrepreneur on call for my patients, even after hours.

Building a business doesn’t come with an off switch. And I wouldn’t have it any other way.

This is what it looks like to build something you’re passionate about, not just clock into a 9-5. To be the healthcare provider someone can actually reach when they need you most.

Today that meant administering IV and fluids instead of a day off and I’d do it again.

Send this to someone building something they truly believe in

Coffee is from lubellas patisserie if you’re in Dallas i highly recommend you check them out!

My daughter was born at 34 weeks. And even as a nurse practitioner, the NICU humbled me.
I’ve spent my career in healthcare. I’ve been the provider in the room, the one explaining things to scared families, the one who’s supposed to know what to do.

Then my own baby was born at 34 weeks, and I was on the other side of it.

The NICU is a different world. Different monitors, different language, different fears. All my clinical experience didn’t make this journey any easier.

What got us through wasn’t just her strength it was the NICU nurses and medical team who took the time to explain every step, who let my husband and I ask a hundred questions, who made us feel like partners in her care instead of bystanders.

They didn’t just take care of her. They took care of us so that by the time we brought her home, we felt ready instead of terrified.

That transition home is not small. And it’s not something families do alone not when they have a team like that behind them.

To every NICU nurse, neonatal nurse practitioner, physician associate, & physician thank you. You don’t just save lives. You give families like mine the confidence to bring our babies home.

If you’ve had a NICU journey, share your story below. If you know a NICU nurse or clinician share this with them
