ANNOUNCING TENOR and BASS AUDITIONS for STAFF SINGERS.
St. Rita Catholic Church has a long history of high-caliber music making. Now offering $85 per call for the most experienced singers. A full schedule and fee scale are available upon request.
We are looking for developed, independent singers who love choral music and solo singing equally, with some prior experience in singing Renaissance polyphony, Gregorian chant, and contemporary music. Strong confident sight readers will find this to be an extremely fulfilling position to hold.
Those interested in scheduling an audition should write to Dr. Alfred Calabrese, DOM, at [email protected]. Please include a resume or brief description of your experience as a solo and choral singer. One or more recordings are very helpful.@

CHORAL AUDTIONS FOR 2026-27
We're looking for: OUTSTANDING choral musicians; PROFESSIONAL vocal artists; and BUDDING conductors who wish to join a distinguished choral program with per-call pay at the top levels in Dallas. Solo opportunities abound, along with extra calls singing for weddings, funerals, and more. EXPERIENCED VOLUNTEERS are also very welcome. Wednesday rehearsals and 2-3 calls per Sunday make this a rewarding and fulfilling prospect for excellent sight readers and established choral musicians. Send a resume and an audio clip of solo singing to [email protected]. I look forward to working with you next season!

Like as the hart desireth the water-brooks, so longeth with my soul after thee, O God"
Since the fifth century, Catholics have continually lifted their prayers guided by the Divine Office; we at St. Rita have the unique opportunity to join the never-ceasing prayers of the faithful by praying the evening Office of Sung Vespers every Sunday at 4 o'clock in the Church. When we come to vespers to pray, we are nourished and refreshed by centuries of music inspired by the psalms; our soul's thirst is quenched, and our spirit is renewed by the presence of God. Do join us in giving thanks for the day's graces, asking for forgiveness, and trusting one's rest to God.
-Joshua Boyd, parish organist
