This is how miserable being single as a 36 year old woman is.

Men often tell us they can sense danger before it happens. They can read aggression, hierarchy, disrespect, tension and threat from other men within seconds. Yet somehow we re expected to believe that when a woman becomes uncomfortable, withdrawn, tense, frozen or distressed, those instincts suddenly stop working. Maybe the question isn t whether the signals were there. The signals are being ignored.

Arousal is not a moral exemption from dignity, care or respect. Just communicate better is becoming the answer to everything. But some experiences aren t revealing a communication problem. They re revealing a character problem.
