At Es Fumé, color isn’t just a finish—it’s a route back to Mallorca itself.

Our team pulled this dusty rose straight from the island’s sun-bleached rooftops and the warmth of a Mediterranean dusk. It moves through the space in waves: deep in the velvet curves of the banquettes, softer in a linen napkin, richer where the evening light hits the curtains.

We layered it against raw timber for warmth, bronze for a glint of old-world glamour, and hand-tied raffia to keep it grounded—every texture a counterpoint that lets the rose breathe rather than overwhelm.

Housed within an art collector’s contemporary finca, and tied to Mallorca’s legacy with Picasso and its living community of artisans, every color and material choice was made with intention. Nothing here is simply for decoration’s sake; it’s a palette pulled from the island’s own materiality and light.

Designed by ROAM for the Ayre Group, these animated renderings for The Residences at Nikki Beach Resort and Spa Antigua capture a sense of the natural beauty, culture, and spirit of Antigua. Each environment tells a story through materials, art, and thoughtful details that connect residents to the island.

The residential lounge draws inspiration from Antigua’s beaches and coral reefs, with light limestone and travertine floors, plaster walls, and dimensional carved stone walls reminiscent of reef formations. Soft, loungy furnishings create an inviting atmosphere for relaxation, while bronze and glass accents introduce warmth, reflection, and transparency. A curated collection of local artwork brings authenticity and a strong sense of place.

Within the private residences, “life well lived” is expressed through refined materials, expansive views, and effortless comfort. Wide-plank wood floors, light oak millwork, accents of green, marble countertops, and woven natural materials create a warm, sophisticated palette. Every detail is carefully curated to create a timeless, relaxed, and distinctly Antiguan experience.

Slender bronze rods drop from sculptural, drum-like ceiling forms while cascades of greenery and hand-blown glass pendants hang like dew caught mid-fall.

Fluted, back-lit wood columns rise three stories to frame the space like the trunks of an old-growth forest, their warm oak grain glowing softly against cool morning light.

Below, a cantilevered wood staircase seems to float mid-air, its faceted underside catching light as it winds past a glass balustrade etched with a rippling, water-like texture—a quiet nod to the rivers that shaped this city.

At its base, the lounge unfolds around live-edge walnut tables and a mix of ivory leather, tan hide, and soft grey upholstery, grounded by rugs patterned like weathered bark and stone.

This is Portland's mossy, magical spirit distilled into architecture: a city defined by rivers, forests, and the quiet drama of light through the trees, brought inside and given room to grow three stories tall.
