This beautiful restaurant is celebrating its grand opening this week, and I’m honored to be part of it. The owners and staff are always incredibly warm and welcoming, the food is amazing, and I’m looking forward to playing in such a beautiful space.

𝗜'𝗺 𝗯𝗹𝗲𝘀𝘀𝗲𝗱 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝘁𝗵𝗮𝗻𝗸𝗳𝘂𝗹.

I’ve been performing acoustic, and now electric, guitar for close to 14 years after playing in bands. Like any other job, there are parts of it that can feel like a grind. Not the performance itself, but everything around it.

Booking the gigs, getting to each venue, transporting equipment, setting up, tearing down, and missing some of the normal fun things with my wife, family, and friends on Thursdays, Fridays, and Saturdays, that’s the part people don’t always see. I’ve often said to the people who have hired me over the years: “you’re really paying me for all of that”. The performing part? I’d almost do that for free… or maybe for a good meal. LOL!

But after all this time, I can honestly say I still love so much about it. I enjoy meeting patrons and the friendships that develop with the staff. I love the feel of a guitar in my hands and the sound it makes when the room starts to settle in and enjoy the music.

So come out sometime. Listen for a while, enjoy the venue, have a fun night out with family or friends, and most of all, please say hello if you get the chance. That’s one of the best parts of the whole experience.
