Shaping might look like a lot of steps, but the truth is, I use the same fundamental techniques across ALL nail shapes. Itβs all about understanding your angles, maintaining consistency, and perfecting your application.
Remember, clean acrylic application makes shaping SO much easier! Work smarter, not harder. π€

A spreading bead is almost never a product problem β itβs a pickup problem.
Too much monomer on the brush, not enough powder, and youβre placing liquid instead of a workable bead before it even has a chance to polymerize.
Dip deeper, count to three after pickup, and let the chemistry start before it touches the nail.
That three-second window is the difference between a bead you can mold and one that runs the second it lands.

β Soft Pink Cover Acrylic Powder
β Low Odor Monomer

Sharp square nails are still possible with builder gel π

The key is all in the technique! To keep those corners SHARP and prevent the shape from rounding over time, you need to make sure youβre applying enough product to reinforce the sidewalls and corners.
Your base coat can double as your blooming medium β and hereβs how.
Apply it a little thicker than usual, skip the cure, then drop your color and let it bloom naturally into the base.
The thicker layer gives the pigment more room to spread and creates that soft, dreamy effect every time.

The cuticle bead is not as complicated as it looks β but placement makes all the difference.
You donβt lay the bead on the cuticle. You place it just below and slowly work it upward.
From there β right, left, then center.
That sequence keeps the product from flooding the sidewalls and gives you a clean cuticle line every time.
Let it polymerize before you touch it, keep your brush on the belly for structure, and clean up by pushing upward for that smooth finish.
