The Brown-Skinned Mystic: A Guide to the Colonizer’s Lies is my testimony, my research, my rage, my grief, and my refusal to keep bowing to a story that was handed to me broken.

🏃‍♀️This is the book where I go back through the image of God I was given as a child.☦️ The white God. The obedient child. The father wound. The church wound. The Black pain. The brown-skinned Yahshuah buried under Rome, empire, doctrine, creeds, bishops, violence, crowns, crusades, and control.

👉I wrote this for the ones who were taught to worship their oppressor and then blamed when their spirit started screaming.

🌀I wrote this for the ones who sat in church and felt something was off but could not name it yet.

⛰️I wrote this for the brown-skinned mystics, the Black sheep, the wounded daughters, the question askers, the ex-believers, the believers who are still digging, the witches, the scholars, the emcees, the survivors, and the ones who know truth does not always come dressed in a robe.

🤷🏻‍♀️Sometimes truth comes through a child asking why.

💧Sometimes truth comes through grief.

🏃‍♀️Sometimes truth comes through the streets.

🔈Sometimes truth comes through hip hop.

📚Sometimes truth comes through the body finally saying, “I do not believe this lie anymore.”
