Want to do more than just enjoy nature? Come help us protect it!

Join the Cedar Ridge Preserve team for our Conservation in Action Days, where volunteers roll up their sleeves and help care for the trails, habitats, and natural spaces that make CRP such a special place.

🌱 1st & 3rd Saturday of each month (That is this weekend!)

Depending on the needs of the preserve, volunteer projects may include trail maintenance, habitat restoration, invasive plant removal, litter cleanup, native plant care, and other hands-on conservation work.

💚 No conservation experience? No problem! Come ready to learn, get a little dirty, meet some great people, and make a visible difference.

Whether you can volunteer once or make it part of your regular routine, every pair of hands helps.

This morning our Expeditions group explored the geology of our area. They learned about limestone and shale, used shells to make imprint fossils in clay and became fossil hunters! Most of them had about 20 chocolate chips in their granola bars! "Digging out fossils is hard work!"

While it has been hot, we have been planning for cooler weather! Check out our September events!

We are back on the regular schedule. Opening at 6:30 and closing at dark Tue through Sunday and closed on Mondays.

Cedar Ridge Preserve has resumed normal operating hours --Open Tuesday through Sunday from 6:30am until dark, closed on Mondays.

With the continued extreme heat, we will be closing the preserve at noon. No one will be admitted after 11:30am. Until the warnings have been lifted, these hours are in effect. We will update you when we resume normal hours.
