Johnny Tone is a Texas Entertainer. Club Wood Y'all!
06/20/2026
Saturday, June 27 — Bishop Arts is gettin' a full day of music, and Club Wood holdin' down the matinée: 5 to 8pm at Revelers Hall.
There's good bands playin' before us and good bands playin' after us, so plan to make a whole evening of it. Good food, craft cocktails, all your favorite beer n wine — Revelers got you covered the whole time, rite cher.
For our part — we open down home and porch-stompin'. New Orleans numbers with that foot-on-the-floorboard pulse, the kind that gets a crowd movin' before they even decide to. Then we turn it loose into an uptempo showcase set to close. Two different gears, one good time, all of it Goofer Dust, TX through and through.
Come hang in Bishop Arts this Saturday. Bring somebody who's never seen us — they'll thank you later.

Karen Foster I believe YOU took this shot of Club Wood at the The Kessler during the 201? Mardi Gras party that Go Oak Cliff threw. Big shout out to Amy Wallace Cowan and Jason Roberts who been nothin but good to me n the boys. ❤️
Take a look at this. That's Club Wood from Goofer Dust, Texas. I found punk rock in Dallas. I found a record deal in New York City. And I found Club Wood in Goofer Dust. I'd sure appreciate it if you'd follow us. Club Wood

Early in my education on New Orleans music, Cosimo Matassa weighed heavy. The records he made in that little studio on Rampart Street — Fats, Little Richard, Professor Longhair — changed everything. This video is the man himself. Worth every minute.
