Project Still I Rise
Community-based, grassroots NPO focusing on academic achievement, mentoring, and character development in underserved communities in Dallas.
Project Still I Rise is a community-based 501(c)(3) organization founded in 2002 to provide high quality, high impact programming to youth of Southern Dallas attending public schools. Many of the children served by the agency have had a history of problems in school such as academic failure, disruptive behavior, strained relations with peers, difficulty in dealing with adult authority figures, and poor attendance. Without early intervention and support, these children are at high risk of school dropout, juvenile delinquency, and criminal behavior. Using science-based curriculums, collaborative relationships and partners in the community, Project Still I Rise has been able to provide significant programs that make a difference in the lives of young people. Project Still I Rise embraces the core values of:
•Collaboration - we will work together with the community at large, forming partnerships that support our mission.
•Compassion - we will provide service in a spirit of empathy, love, and concern.
•Servant leadership - we will create a service led environment.
•Stewardship – we will manage resources effectively and responsibly.

We are back again for another year of our Urban STEM Pop-Ups. A year-round program built to develop skills and provide mentorship to minority males in grades 5-11, in partnership with UT Dallas’s Erik Jonsson School of Engineering and Computer Science.

Another day, another reason to be proud!
There's nothing we love more than shining a light on the achievements of our PSIR Urban Scholar Alums. Today we are proud to celebrate Dr. Lydia Lewis, who recently earned her Doctorate in Occupational Therapy and has successfully passed her board examinations.
Dr. Lewis's dedication and perseverance have led her to this outstanding achievement, and we could not be prouder to see her thriving in her field. We are of Dr. Lewis and everything she continues to accomplish.

Whenever we can, we love highlighting our PSIR Urban Scholar Alums doing big things!
Today we’re spotlighting Doryian Marshall , a rising senior majoring in Mechanical Engineering at Wichita State University. Doryian just wrapped up an internship with Boeing Defense, Space & Security program in St. Louis, Missouri!
Doryian is making incredible strides and is on track for a successful career in the aerospace industry after graduation. We are of Doryian and everything he’s accomplishing!
