25 years later, we remember.
For many of us, September 11th is a day we can still picture clearly. But there is now an entire generation growing up with no memory of that morning. That means remembering is not only about looking back. It is also about telling the story.
We should remind them of the lives that were lost, the families that were forever changed, and the courage shown in the face of tragedy. We should also remind them of what happened in the days that followed. People prayed. Churches filled. Neighbors cared for neighbors. A divided nation found reasons to stand together.
That unity did not erase the pain, but it reminded us how deeply we need one another and how desperately we need God.
May we teach the next generation not only what happened, but where our hope must remain. Nations change. Generations come and go. But God is still our refuge, still our strength, and still near to the brokenhearted.
We remember the past. We pray for the present. We place our hope in Him.
